All About my Mac Palette & Favourite shades

This is the day I am going to talk to you all about my Mac Warm Neutrals palette and why I love it and my favourite and most used eye shadows in the palette.

Firstly I thought I would mention to fill a Mac palette the insert is around £20 and then each of the singular eye shadows are £10 each, So you would be spending over £150 to fill up a Mac palette yourself with your hand picked eye shadows. I bought this for £65, which on it's own is A LOT of money to spend on eye shadow but I bought this with all my own money that I had saved around a year ago I think or maybe sooner, but it is so Amazing! And even a year later it is probably one of my favourite makeup items I have ever purchased.

An overview of the Mac Warm neutrals palette

This is what the palette looks like when you first pick it up, there are a mixture of matte and shimmery/glittery eye shadows which I love as the Urban Decay Naked palettes only had two or three matte shades and I use matte shades over shimmery shades usually for a more natural eye look, I love also using cream/white eye shadow as a base to cover veins on my eyes which I love as it's natural and you can barely tell I have anything on my lids.

Now I am going to tell you about my favourite shades and then I will list all of the eye shadow names also below, so if you like the look of a particular one it could help you find which one it is if you wanted to purchase it, or if you want to add it to your makeup wishlist, this is something I am very guilty of and if you want to see what's on my current makeup wishlist check out one of my recent blog posts here: My Makeup Wishlist

So the eye shadows on my hand that I have swatched for the above photograph I will be talking about each one and why I love it, and then will tell you all the shade names in the palette:

Left to Right: Honey Lust, Saddle, Divine Decadence, Unwind

Honey Lust: This shade I love as its the most shimmery glittery beautiful shade it is like a champagne-y pink colour. It looks fabulous in the inner corners as it brings a lot of focus to that area and looks stunning on the bottom waterline or just under the eye as I find my eyes look more open and the glitter brings more attention to my eyes.

Saddle: This is an eye shadow that now I have it can never be forgotten about, I am such a big fan of bronzer in the crease of my eye so much so that it's usually apart of my everyday makeup but I love this even more as it is slightly more orangey and daring, it could almost be used as a bronzer as the colour is similar to a lot of ones I have tried but I prefer it way more, it also looks AMAZING with blue and green eyes and complements them so much and really makes the eye colour pop, and I love to pair it with the eye shadow next to it called, Amber Lights this is also a popular  and hyped about shade in the beauty community which I was definitely not disappointed with.

Divine Decadence: This is just beautiful and I wish I had found it sooner, if I want a smokey eye with a nice brown-y golden glitter on top I will use this as I can always rely on the colour to look dramatic and intense as it can be built up so easily. I love the way it looks in photography too, and I am so happy with it because I had yet to find an eye shadow like this before and having it in this palette is amazing because all the colours go so well in the palette and I didn't have to choose any and not have to worry about the shades they went with as it was pre-made and took all the guesswork out already finding colours that all looked nice together! I have yet to try any looks that eye shadows don't look nice together in this palette!

Unwind: Probably my least used of these four of my favourite shades, as you can see its like a mermaid green, it has a bit of sparkle and looks gorgeous I can imagine with brown eyes as green and brown colours complement each other. I love this for when I want something a bit more vibrant, this would be perfect for parties/nights out and you can use as not be worried about how it looks because it is an earthy colour but is also still neutral so won't be too in your face but will still be more vibrant and daring than cream/white shades and light browns. If your looking to try something new this is gorgeous!

All the Eye shadows in the palette:
Top row: Hey, Warm Breeze, Gingersnap, Dark Brew, Dance in the Dark
Middle row: Brule, Vanilla Extract, Honey Lust, Amber Lights, Saddle
Bottom row: Lemon Tart, Creative Copper, Butterfudge, Divine Decadence, Unwind

Hope this was somewhat interesting whether you're a Mac virgin or not, I definitely recommend these gorgeous eye shadows!

  2. Great review. I picked this up the other day, seemed like a lot of money but like you say if I got them individually would cost so much more so I told myself it was a bargain. I have only used a couple so far but love it!! x

    1. It is so worth it now I have used it so many times I seem to use it a lot more than any other palettes too, they are all quite wearable if paired with the right shades as they are all neutral anyway they look great with any other makeup products, lipstick blushes etc. I use it almost daily so I know you'll love it even more than you do now! x
