Travel Friendly Palettes

I am a girl who loves a good makeup palette, whether it's eyeshadows or a bronzing/blush palette I love them all! So I thought I would share my favourite travel friendly palettes as I have so many palettes I thought this would be an interesting read for those who want to find easier to travel around with makeup, which can just be popped in your handbag and won't take up to much space!

I will leave links to all of these palettes below if you want to check them out!

So the palettes I have chosen to feature in this post are:
Tanya Burr Hollywood Palette - here

Urban Decay Naked 2 Basics Palette - here

Makeup Revolution Iconic 3 Palette - here

Mac quad (made myself) -
Omega - here
Woodwinked - here
Palette (quad) -  here

Below is a photo I took of all the palettes in natural lighting so this is how they look, and they look as true to colour as I could possibly get them too.

Tanya Burr Hollywood Palette -
This palette is perfect for travelling, I have only tried this palette out of all of Tanya's quad palettes, and the colours are absolutely stunning! I love the shade 'gold coin' it's so pretty and looks pretty on the lids but still remains quite natural compared to other shadows. I love this palette and a I went away for the weekend a few weeks ago and took this palette and it was so travel friendly and having a mirror makes it even more handy as you can do your eyeshadow just about anywhere!

Urban Decay Naked 2 Basics Palette -
This palette is one perfect for everyday, in fact I use it everyday as I always use the middle shade for filling in my brows as you can see I do use it quite a lot haha! I also love using the second shade in just to cover veins on my eye lids when I just want it to look natural and barely look like I have any eye shadow on my lids, it's also a great palette for creating browny smokey eyes so it has so many uses and you can create a variety of eye looks using just this little palette!

Makeup Revolution Iconic 3 Palette -
I never thought pink eyeshadow would look nice on me, I've always wanted to try it but had been too scared. So when I noticed this palette around four/five months ago I wanted to give it a go especially for the £4 price tag but I was definitely a bit skeptical because of how cheap it was, it sounded to good to be true! but It isn't! I am amazed at the quality and I am so looking forward to using this palette in the summer as I think these shades will look beautiful and I just think they look so summery. I think this is such a good palette size, it's a bit bigger than the first two palettes but it would be perfect for a date night or weekend away and they just look so pretty and girly that it looks like you've spent ages doing your makeup, they are such pigmented eyeshadows and I really recommend this gorgeous £4 palette!

Mac Quad -
Lastly out of all my favourite travel friendly palettes is my Mac quad, I only have two eye shadows called 'Omega' and 'Woodwinked' but you can fill up these palettes yourself and pick the exact shades which you want which I think is amazing! I love using Omega for my eyebrows too sometimes to just add a bit more colour and fill them in. I think Woodwinked is such a stunning golden coloured eyeshadow which has the most gorgeous shimmer but isn't too over the top, it's perfect to pair with a pink or red lip and this palette is so small you could definitely take it most places as it'll probably fit in a clutch bag or a purse so is definitely very travel friendly!

Brows For Every Budget

I love having full eyebrow! I just love the appearance of them especially on my face shape, I have tried and tested plenty of eye brow kits and eye shadow shades to fill in my eyebrows and I thought I would share with you my favourite for achieving natural and full eyebrows from a low to higher budget!

Now I adore each of these palettes and think the products are amazing quality so they would all be amazing, I have naturally dark-ish blonde hair! So I usually have the use quite light shades for my brows as I think this suits me best I will be taking you though the shades I also use in particular in each of the palettes! So Enjoy!

Seventeen Brow Kit - here at www.boots.com
I really enjoy using this palette on days where I want something quick and simple, this little palette is so useful as it has a mini brush and an eyebrow pencil so this is really handy for travelling and on the go! (although all of these are really!) It comes with a wax on the left hand side and the brow powder in the middle it is quite a mid toned brown colour but I can get away with it with my hair colour, although it's super easy for my eyebrows to look too much for me as I am heavy handed so I need a light hand when applying this, but don't get me wrong, it's a lovely colour when applied. It also comes with the white shade on the right which is perfect for highlighting the brow bone if you do so wish! I think this is so great and affordable at only £5.99!

Mac Quad - Omega and Woodwinked - here at www.selfridges.com
The next brow powder I use is this eye shadow from Mac which is called 'Omega' now I first discovered this after watching many YouTube videos where beauty guru's would use this shade if they had blonde to light brow hair and it looked amazing, so I had to try it myself and it just creates a really natural eyebrow colour and is so easy to create the appearance of thicker or fuller brows as this eyeshadow can be built up and doesn't straight away give you crazy eyebrows as the colour is light but not too light for filling in my eyebrows so I think this is great, however I do not use the other shade as I only use that on my eyes! This eyeshadow on it's own retails for £10 from Mac.

Omega - here
Woodwinked - here
(woodwinked not used as a brow shade by the way it is a shimmery gold!)

Urban Decay Naked Basics 2 Palette - here at www.houseoffraser.co.uk
Lastly but definitely not least is my Urban Decay Naked Basics 2 palette, now this is so versatile and is so good as it has basically every eye brow shade you could need and I love using this as a palette for my eye shadow as well as an almost everyday essential for filling in my eye brows. I just find it has every neutral eye shadow shade I would need and it's just a bonus that it has my perfect shade for filling in my eyebrows which is called 'Frisk' as you can probably tell because I have hit the pan quite a bit now! I think this has such a variety of shades so I would say it's literally a perfect eyebrow palette! even though it's an eyeshadow palette it's perfect as it's basically a 2 in 1! The only downside is the price at £23 but it can be used in so many ways and with Urban Decay products you get what you pay for! The quality is amazing!

Most Loved Eye Products of the Last Year

Let's start with: these are favourites from last year but they will definitely be through this year too, I am so addicted to using all of these makeup bits and that will carry on for as long as I can't find anything I love more, and right now it seems impossible that I will!

So these have all been very talked about items, so I have the Naked Smoky Palette to the Left, then two of the Lash Sensational Mascara's in the middle and then to the left I have my Mac Warm Neutrals Palette. These are all my most favouritest  eye makeup items of the last year and I'm sure I will be loving them this year in 2016, which may I add feels super odd to actually be saying...

I had never been a mascara junkie, I had always stuck to the same mascara, which when I think about it was good but didn't give me a lot of thickness too my lashes and they didn't look as good as I wanted them too, so I tried the Maybelline Lash Sensational in March of last year and I haven't looked back since! This is why I have included two as you can see the one on the left side the packaging looks very well love compared to my super shiny one on the right. I am currently on my third and I am so obsessed with it and I don't know if anything else can compare!

The Palette to the left is the Naked Smoky Palette and in the last few months of 2015, I had been using it daily, even if it was just a little bit of colour on my eye lids, it is amazing for creating those dramatic, sultry eyes and I feel like it has a mixture of day and night shades, a lovely one for experimenting with autumn eye looks, there's a festive gold and a champagne-y pink glitter, it has navy's, purples, silvers the list goes on. The possibility of difference looks you can make with it is endless! It's stunning!

The palette on the right hand side, is also a beautiful and luxury palette. It's the Mac Warm Neutrals palette and it has the most easy to apply warm shades which I think are perfect for autumn and summer as I tend to wear orangey copper eyes in the summer time, it I'm going out at night on holiday, or in the winter time when I want something quite warm glittery and festive. It has a lovely mixture of mattes and glittery/shimmery shades which I feel like is the only downfall in most of the Naked palettes as I love matte colours to deepen up the eye look and sometimes I can go a bit overboard with the glitter so I need matte shades to tone the eyes down. The Mac one is amazing for this as there is such a range of both and they will all complement each other, you don't need to think too much about the colours not matching as all of them seem too whatever ones I use together!

Naked Smoky Palette - www.houseoffraser.co.uk £38.00
Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara - www.superdrug.com £7.99
Mac Warm Neutrals Palette - www.selfridges.com  £65.00

These are my all round most loved and most used Eye Products of 2015 and I'm sure will be featured in lots of blog posts in 2016 I hope this has been an enjoyable read for you!

October Favourites

Now is October Favourites time! I felt like the last month went so incredibly fast, but I'm excited to tell you all about these products I have been loving and most of them are all makeup so if you love makeup, which I assume you must do if you're reading my beauty blog! So keep reading if you want to hear more about these glorious makeup and one bath product favourites!

The first two I'm loving are my two Mac lipsticks the one on the left is the colour 'Russian Red' which I love as it's the most lovely red it's not too bright or too dark, but I would describe it as a classic red colour which is great for important events/parties as it's matte and lasts a long time and looks sophisticated and really pretty on so many skin tones and the colour being more of a muted colour which isn't too bright just looks stunning and I love it!
The second is 'Rebel' which I'm sure most bloggers/Youtuber's have heard of as it was hyped about so much last year, I have used this a lot this month as my lips have been quite dry and this isn't matte so it doesn't make my lips even worse, it's a lovely berry colour when one layer is applied to the lips but when two to three coats are applied it looks a lot darker and is a perfect vampy purple lip perfect for autumn and winter!

Next I have been obsessed with snow fairy! A lovely magical shower gel from Lush or at least it just feels and smells magical! It is so super sweet and I love how this is a scent from Lush that they bring out at Christmas but it's still a super girly and perfect product to gift someone at Christmas as a little goes a long way and the scent lingers for so long, and I can't get enough of it as I can't most Christmas' (and about six months after) It is the prettiest pink colour and it's perfect for me as I love anything pink in my bath along with all the lovely pink bath bombs from Lush!

Thirdly I am loving the seventeen Falsify mascara and I'll be honest, I didn't think it would live up to my trusty Maybelline Lash Sensational but it's definitely a close second! for a drugstore mascara it is the bomb and makes my eye lashes (that are so so short may I add) look so much thicker and longer and I don't know how it's so good but it doesn't look fake and unnatural, I think if I did a lot of coats of this it would live up to the 'falsify' term as it just adds loads of length for me and I don't know how but I am LOVING IT!

Now I never thought I would say this but I am in love with this nail polish, it has not left my nails for about 3/4 of this month and I am never obsessed with nail polish much, I just tend to buy ones and are dissapointed with the colours or quality, this one has lasted a good four days on my nails with 2-3 coats which is so good for me as I struggle to get any to last longer than a day without chipping while doing simple daily chores and activities. It is the colour 'Cherry Jubilee' and would you believe this was a free gift with an Avon purchase my mum made and to be honest, I haven't put it down and she's probably wondering where it is, ooops... better put it back soon but if you have the chance the Avon Pro nail + range is such good quality and lasts a lot longer than Barry M and L'Oreal on my nails!

Lastly but totally utterly not the least is my NAKED SMOKY. This palette is just a dream come true and I have loved it especially this month because in the colder weather I can get away with the dark blues and the gun metal shades, which really look nice with a brown or black smokey eye. I love how you can create so many looks with just this one palette there are the easier to were shades and the intense colours so it's perfect for creating something simple and on the more natural side or something a bit more out there!

The Perfect Palette Tag

Today I'm doing a Tag post as I think sometimes these are a little bit of fun and are a chance to show more of your personality, and be yourself. Today's is the Perfect Palette tag and this tag was made for me as I am addicted to buying palettes and I have quite a few this is going to be hard I can tell! I'd like to say too before I start that palettes are something I like to collect and a lot of them had been bought with my own money or with birthday money etc. I haven't bought them all in one go most of them in about 3-4 years or longer.

1. Best Packaging
Without a doubt the Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette, I am just in love with this packaging it is so gorgeous and I also really love the way it's magnetic, it seems to make it feel like a more luxurious product, although it already is but it just makes me love it all the more!(if that's possible) If you'd like to see more pictures of the Naked Smoky palette I have a haul where I featured it here

Small High End Makeup Haul

Bonjour m'lovelies (I know I'm not funny hahah) I have missed making blog posts for the last two and a half weeks, since going on holiday to a place in Spain called Murcia, It was such a lovely relaxing holiday and I was so sad to be coming home, but the ferry ride home was made a little bit better with a cheeky purchase of the Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat. I have been lusting over this makeup purchase for around two years now and I thought with it being a few pounds cheaper than usual it was a perfect time for the little splurge!

My Eyebrow Favourites: For Beautiful, Bold Brows

Hello Everybody! Today's post is about my favorite makeup products to use on my brows, to either fill them in or set them in place.

Mac eye shadow in Omega
This colour I use Mac's 'Omega' eye shadow which is on the left of this palette obviously I don't use the right shade as it is a gold eye shadow called 'Woodwinked' this is also from Mac, Omega is definitely one of my ultimate faves as it creates a natural strong brow, if you have blonde or light brown coloured eyebrows, this is
a firm favorite for taming those brows!
