Stila in the Light Palette

Now, my life has been SO hectic lately! Basically I recently started my first proper job and it's been a real shock to me I must say, juggling my time is the main thing, I have no time to do many things anymore haha! I make it sound awful but really I'm loving it and being able to be independent and earning my own wages!

So today I wanted to share my FAVE palette at the moment, as you can see it is this stunning 'in the light' palette by Stila and to be honest I never really hear about Stila makeup except from this palette of course so when a few months back it was only £12.50 I squeeled and a few click-idy clicks later it was ordered and I received it a few days later. All I can say right now is that I'm in LOVE!
You can browse them here:
Stila 'In the Light palette' - www.lookfantastic.com
Real techniques brushes - www.superdrug.com

Now the palette includes an array of beautiful neutral eye shadow shades, 12 to be exact! I think the pigmentation of the palette is just perfect for me, not too pigmented that mistakes can be made from picking up too much product, or too little product that nothing shows up, its a lovely mix of in between the two.

My favourite shades are: obviously 'Kitten' which is always the most raved about champagne shimmer colour, it is perfect and really complements my blue eyes, I also love matte browns 'sandstone' and a pinky/taupe brown called 'Bliss' these are lovely build able crease shades, I am always looking for brown/taupe shades for in my crease as I prefer these to smokey blue/black colours which some people can really pull off but unfortunately not me! You can see them in the photo I too below!

It also came with an eyeliner which I think is such a good freebie, and it was amazing and very pigmented until I broke it! ooops, Bit of a Clumsy cow!  I know, what am I like! So this has made me think a lot about trying some more products from Stila.

Even though I've had this for quite a few months now, I can't wait to try even more combinations of the shades together, I am eager to try the navy colour, but haven't branched into it yet and I want to try the black to line my eyes like an eyeliner would, will let you all know how it goes!

Anyway I hope you are all well, see you in my next post!

Affordable Drugstore makeup products under £10

I love a bit of drugstore makeup shopping and drugstore makeup quality has been improving so much lately, I thought I would just share with you all a few affordable drugstore makeup products that are for eyes and eyebrows, I find there are actually so many amazing dupes for high end products so I thought I'd share them!

So the first is a palette, from Maybelline, and I don't actually hear a lot about this palette but I think the shades are lovely, they are mostly shimmery shades and I think this palette is great for those who want to branch out into trying different eye shadow shades but don't want to spend around £40 for a pre-made palette like the Urban Decay Naked palettes, this blushed nudes palette is just under £10 and the shades are mostly pink, like the Naked 3 palette.

The next product is from Freedom, this is a fairly new (I think, correct me if i'm wrong) high street makeup brand, which is sold in Superdrug. They have a lot of products that have caught my eye as of how cheap and good quality they look, this product is a brow pommade/pomade which is the cheaper equivalent to the anastasia dip brow pomade, I have the shade taupe, which I think is a lovely shade for my considerably dark eyebrows (for me having dark blonde hair anyway!)
The great thing is you only need the tiniest bit and this was £5 so I'm guessing it will last me ages!

The last product is by Makeup Revolution, which is a makeup brand I am loving to pieces at the moment! I love their eyeshadows, contour kit and now this, which is a handy little eyebrow kit mine is in the light/medium one and I can't believe it was only £2.50 I think they shades in it are brilliant and I can mix the shades to match my eyebrows perfectly (and yes I have used it but it still looks untouched haha!) I think they do a medium/dark one too but it is just such a handy palette to take on the go or in your bag, it has a mirror and tweezers and a brush if you need to use the product on the go to, which I think is fab!

Makeup products I'm Obsessed with this month!

I am going to be sharing with you three items (all makeup products, surprise surprise!) I have literally not stopped over the past month or so.

So this month I have been loving trying a few different makeup products in my collection, which have been sadly pushed aside, from me buying so much makeup lately, OOPS. but it's easily done! -you can never have enough am I right?!

Products Featured:
Chanel 'La Mysterieuse' - www.johnlewis.com
Sleek Matte Me 'Birthday Suit' - www.superdrug.com
Maybelline Lash Sensational Waterproof - www.superdrug.com

The only product I had been yet to try before in this photograph was the waterproof lash sensational mascara, as I had already absolutely loved the non waterproof version, but now the weather is hotter my itchy/watery/hayfever-y eyes definitely do not!

The first product is actually this beautifully packaged Chanel lipstick called 'La Mysterieuse' which unfortunately I have lost the swatch picture of it so if you are curious to see the colour you can find it featured in an older blog post of mine here. It is the prettiest shade which I would describe as a purple-y red pink shade and I find it so hard to wear red shades but on the lips it is a gorgeous in-between of red/pink on me and I am so happy with it and the formula is so silky considering its a matte lip stick and I adore it!

The second you may have seen in my liquid lipsticks blog post, and it is the much talked about Sleek Matte Me lipstick in the shade 'Birthday Suit' it is so pretty and has been compared and is said to be a dupe for 'Dolce K' by kylie cosmetics. It is quite pinky on me, which I'm not sure is because of my natural lip colour, but I think it is such a pretty shade perfect for Spring/Summer weather hence why I have been using it a lot throughout the past month!

The last is the mascara, the lash sensational-non waterproof has been my favourite mascara for around 6 months I would say could be less or more but thats my rough estimate. And I had absolutely no fault in it at all, until my eyes were affected by the ever so dreaded hay fever which I experience everytime the weather gets nicer! It's annoying but I'm so glad I tried the waterproof because it DOES NOT BUDGE! It is soooo good and is definitely replacing my normal lash sensational, the only downside is that it takes me twice as long to get off as non waterproof mascara does, but it works even better than my normal lash sensational as my lashes hold so much better and the curl lasts me literally all day. If you have been wondering whether to try it... then do it, it beats any high end mascara I have tried too, and for only £7.99!

Skincare/Bodycare favourites!

Now that summer is just around the corner, I've been stepping up with my skin and body care products!
I adore having a summery glow as the weather gets nicer and I have two tanning body/skincare products featured in this post as well as two skin care products which I'm also loving, so if you want to know my thoughts carry on reading lovelies!

The Products featured and direct links to them:
Dove DermaSpa Summer Revived Body Lotion -www.boots.com
Bondi Sands everyday Gradual Face tanner - www.feelunique.com
Cetaphil cleanser - www.feelunique.com
La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo - www.feelunique.com

The first product is a very new product to me, after seeing this gradual tan on offer on the super drug website a few weeks ago I decided to take the plunge and try it, because I self tan I use the Bondi Sands Tanning range, and I can never ever get my hands to look somewhat not disgusting, I have watched countless youtube videos to see what I was doing wrong when applying the mousse to my body and also my hands but every time I did it it was hideous, no other word to describe it unfortunately! So I tried this on my hands applying it with a tanning mitt and oh my goodness what a difference, it matches my Bondi Sands dark foam perfectly after two solid coats and I am obsessed! I am yet to try the Bondi Sands tanning lotion, as I was going to try that on my hands and feet instead of the mousse but as this was on offer for around £3.50 and the Bondi sands one was £14.99 I thought I would give this ago first and the results I am beyond impressed with!
The best natural looking hands I have ever had when fake tanning!

Now time for my Bondi Sands face gradual tan, now this is perfect for when you don't want to wear much makeup on your face and I've been loving it for makeup free days as it adds colour to my face obviously and builds up to match the tan on my body over two to three days of me applying it each night, because obviously when I don't fake tan my face I have a very visible pale face and tanned body haha!!The only small downside is if you use harsher face scrubs it obviously won't last amazingly but I think is super good and I've been looking for a product like this that doesn't break me out! it doesn't! and I'm definitely going to use this on holiday this summer since I need to use factor 50 on my easily burnt face! Goodbye to my pale face and tanned neck!

So any US readers of my blog you'll probably think I'm crazy but I have been dying to try the Cetaphil cleanser for so long after hearing how good it is for sensitive or acne prone skin, which lucky me I suffer from both! I love the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish but I was looking for a liquid based cleanser instead of like a lotion which is what cleanse and polish is for those who may not know!
I have been using it for three weeks solidly now and my skin hasn't felt this soft in forever so now I'm definitely saying goodbye to harsh face scrubs which probably made my skin even more sensitive! It is amazing if your looking for a product that won't irritate your skin at all this one claims to do that and I agree!

Lastly is another completely raved about product, and I talk about it all the time! BUT it's the biggest staple in my facial skincare routine, if I couldn't have any other product except one it would be this one! *Bold claim I know!* it keeps my skin clearer than any other product has and I feel it works best when I completely cover my face in a small layer so it helps to tackle blemishes even before they appear. The Effaclar Duo + is a french brand and I also need to try more products from them! I have yet to find a acne curing product but this is as close as I've found to improve my skin the abolute most and it seems to prevent whiteheads and those really painful spots which is gross but amazing that it does such a good job!

So these are my favourites!
What Skin Care or Body Care products can you not live without?!

My Favourite Liquid Lipsticks/Lipcreams

Liquid lipsticks are becoming super popular lately, after the recent launch of the Kylie Jenner lip kits, (which one has actually made it into this post!) they have become a massive hype and every beauty lover it seems is obsessed with them and their are so many great dupes of her liquid lipsticks on the beauty market. I thought I would share with you my favourites at the minute so enjoy!

So the first is of course my Kylie liquid lipstick which I originally bought in the lip kit which featured this lipstick and the matching lipliner. Now this is such a perfect colour for me it's a nude pink colour and it's so easy to apply and smells incredible, and just like strawberries my fave! It is so pretty and I the formula is lovely, I just wish they were easy and accessible in the UK, without the shipping and customs charges which can be a whopping amount of money which I don't have haha!

The next one is the NYX lipstick in the colour Copenhagen, and by the way I love all of these liquid lipsticks and they are all my favourites! *they're in no particular order I forgot to mention!* The Copenhagen shade is amazing but I am more of a pink/nude/neutral lip kinda gal as I feel like these suit me best and are so wearable for me! This is a lip cream so it isn't as liquid-y like the others but dries into a cream formula but all of these lipsticks have a similar affect when dried. This is super good value at £5.50 so I will definitely be trying some more NYX lipsticks!

The last is a new edition to my liquid lipsticks, it's the Sleek Matte Me in Birthday Suit, I heard so much about this being a dupe for Dolce K by Kylie Jenner (sold as a lip kit) and I couldn't chose between Dolce K and Candy K when I got my lip kit so as I chose Candy K I wanted to get a dupe for Dolce K without the extreme price tag to get it shipped to the UK! So this is a gorgeous browny pink, slightly browner than Candy K, it's a very signature Kylie lip colour. Another thing with liquid lipsticks is that it's so much easier if you want a fuller lip because the liquid when dried really looked so natural and somehow makes you able to do your lips how you like usually with a lipliner, and then a matte liquid lipstick and it's so easy if you want a Kylie Jenner style lip look!

L'Oreal Paris - Favourite Drugstore Lipsticks

Today after a long time of not informing you all of my favourite/most loved products I am going to be telling you about two of my favourite drugstore lipsticks, both from L'Oreal Paris! I think I will try this style of blog post with a few other drugstore brands so keep your eyes peeled!

So let's start of with the fact I adore high end lipsticks but the drugstore or high street if you're in the UK has some amazing quality lipsticks too, usually for around half or a quarter of the price of a high end alternative.

The lipsticks I have chosen and are in this picture are the shades: Eva's Nude (left) and 233 which is also called 'Boreal/Taffeta' (right) both are absolutely gorgeous colours which I have dug out of my lipstick drawer and have used so much now the weather is cheering up a little.

Eva's Nude is a gorgeous peachy pink, it has a sort of gloss finish but isn't glossy like a lip gloss, and you won't get that annoying lipgloss in your hair problem ha! it's super moisturising this is partly the reason I love L'Oreal lipsticks as I have never had one that dries out my lips and they look so pretty on the lips. This shade goes with so many looks this is why I have used it so much lately and now I will most definitely be wearing this all spring and summer long!

233 is a more pinky shade, it has more shimmery sparkling specks in it which you can see easily in the light, I don't usually like any form of shimmer in my lip products but this is super lovely and looks gorgeous especially with other pinky makeup, pink eyes, pink blusher etc. I am obsessed!

My March Favourites

March has been a super busy month for me, but it's not stopped me loving lots of different beauty/skincare products this month!

Funnily enough most of my products here are pink, but that's fine as it's my favourite colour! So let me start with the first product!

My favourite body product has actually been this Heel Genius Foot Cream by Soap and glory, I basically hate feet especially my own so anything that makes them look and smell better (I know, Gross) is a wonder product for me and this has just made my heels so much softer, and foot pampering is definitely what I need as after all summer is just around the corner! This is a miniature of the original but it is very good value for money for the full size at £5.50 so I will definitely be purchasing the full size soon!

Then I actually have been adoring the Sugar Crush Body Spray also by Soap and glory, as you can see I am in love with the soap and glory range as it all just smells divine and the products are amazing. This just smells like the sugar crush body wash in liquid form and it is without a doubt the nicest body spray smell, and I have recently seen on instagram there is a perfume/fragrance version so I NEED that in my life!!

Then this lip gloss all I can say is it's the best drugstore one I've found. It's the Barry M lip gloss in Toffee, and unfortunately I can't find it anywhere online *cries* and I really hope it isn't discontinued as I have really struggled to find a nice lipgloss which is the perfect formula for me at an affordable price. It goes with all my lipsticks in this post too so even better, but not if it's gone forever!

For moisturiser I'm loving my Garnier Moisturise Match in 'Goodbye Dry', because it's the perfect in-between it's not too light or too thick but it really helps with the dry areas on my face and helps my makeup to sit a lot nicer and I don't find any makeup clings to my dry areas when I use this! -Bonus!

Now I'm going to take you though my most loved/adored lipsticks for this month!

The first is the L'Oreal Eva's Nude Lipstick it's a beautiful peachy, pink which is just a perfect spring/summer colour which will really pop with a nice summery glow, it looks so gorgeous paired with any eye look or just a natural makeup look, it's beautiful!

The Second one in is a Maybelline Lipstick in Tantalising Taupe I can rarely get away with this very pale glossy nude shade, it is a browny nude colour, as taupe would suggest but I have been loving it with darker eyes or bold contour/blush shades, it really complements most makeup looks well!

Then Last but not least my well loved, Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick in 38, it is a gorgeous nude/neutral pink with the most gorgeous tones in it and it's the most wearable lipstick shade I think I own for Spring/Summer it will just look so neutral but still very pretty and easy to just put on whenever or wherever you are and it doesn't require too much upkeep you don't have to keep applying it throughout the day!

What's have been your favourites this month?!

My Everyday Makeup products | March 2016

I am a big fan of trying new makeup and lately I have tried quite a few new things, I wanted to share my everyday makeup products as I have been loving this combination of makeup for nearly a month now and I don't see it changing for a while!

Firstly, I just want to apologise for being so absent from my blog recently, life has just got in the way. But I can't wait to send lots of new blog posts your way so watch this space! So enjoy this post!

So for foundation and concealer I have been loving the cheaper Highstreet/drugstore base makeup products as high end foundations and concealers can really break the bank and I think sometimes the cheaper version can work just as well it's just a case of trial and error.
The two I am loving are the Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation as it has a really nice full coverage and helps to cover up blemishes, it covers a lot so it's a great one for covering acne, but when I have some blemishes which you can still see that is where I apply the collection concealer, this one is the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer which I'm sure you know about especially if you're from the UK!

I have been loving using my Makeup Revolution Contour Palette next and I am super obsessed with using this, there is the most gorgeous cool toned colour perfect which I use for contouring my pale skin it's amazing and makes it look like I have cheekbones without looking fake. And I also love the banana shade in the palette for setting my under eye makeup. I am such a huge fan of Makeup Revolution they make the most amazing affordable makeup and they have definitely been one of my most reached for drugstore brands for makeup this year!

I then apply my blush which is the Benefit Rockateur which is a pretty rose goldy shade which has a bit of shimmer, I love it and it's definitely one of my fave products from Benefit. It is a lovely flush when applied and just makes me feel like I look so much healthier with this rosy glow on my cheeks!

I then took, my favourite product at the moment, the Mary Lou Manizer Highlighter from The Balm, it is just incredible, so pigmented and gives the prettiest intense highlight ah it's something I cannot live without in my makeup routine at the moment and a few days ago when I was in a rush and didn't apply it I missed wearing it all day! It is a lovely colour too, the perfect mix between cream/gold like a champagne colour, but it just makes me feel so glowy and I think it just makes my makeup every day to be honest, and when it catches the light it's just beautiful! if you love to glow then try this girls!

Lastly I just applied lots of coats of the Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara yes it is by far my favourite, and it always just adds so much length which I definitely need. I need to try the waterproof one though as I find waterproof mascara's keep a curl better and I don't think any mascara could beat this one but I way as well give it a go!

Also I would love recommendations on makeup products you're loving too!

Is there one makeup product you use everyday without fail?!

BeeBio Skincare Products

I was recently asked if I wanted to try some skincare products from BeeBio, they are a skincare company in New Zealand and their products are all natural and are made from Manuka honey hence why the company is called 'BeeBio'
So naturally I said yes as I love trying products and I wanted to try some face creams as I love changing up the moisturisers I use regularly, and I was so shocked when they sent me all these products!
They sent me a range of face products and one body product, I have pictured
a face cream, a night cream, a day cream,  an eye cream, a body lotion, a face mask, a face cleanser and the product that is slightly cut out of the photo (sorry about that!) is an eye serum. I'm super grateful so thank you to BeeBio.

So BeeBio Products are all natural and they all smell like honey, and bee products (like bees wax) and the honey is such a lovely natural scent but is quite strong if you are used to fragrance free products. I really love the packaging on these products too, I think they did a great job with the design of the packaging as I think it looks so cute.

My Favourite product is by far the Bee Venom and Active Manuka Honey Anti Ageing Face Masque which is pictured above, I love face masks and this one makes my skin feel so nice after, soft but not sticky or greasy. I adore using natural products so this one is perfect for me!

I also love the facial cleanser and the eye serum, as these are things I wouldn't usually try but I think they are great especially for sensitive skin as my skin is very temperamental with products and these haven't broke my skin out more so I am super impressed!

My Top Three Drugstore Foundations

I am a big, big fan of makeup from cheaper brands usually the more expensive drugstore brands have amazing products and some are even better than high end ones in my opinion. That's why I thought I would share my top three drugstore foundations today!
You can browse them here!
Rimmel Match Perfection - here
Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation - here
Rimmel Lasting Finish - here

So my first favourite in the photo, is the Rimmel Match Perfection foundation and this has been probably my longest favourite drugstore foundation and I have probably repurchased it 6-7 times maybe! I think it has amazing coverage and my shade 'True Ivory' is such a perfect match for me in winter and also towards the start of summer. It is a lovely coverage, it doesn't feel too thick and offers  good coverage for spots, I usually do use a bit of concealer over the top of them though if I am experiencing a breakout! I would probably say it is medium coverage, it does exactly what I want it to do, and I love this new 'pore blurring effect' it supposedly has, I just love this foundation and I don't know if it makes me pores look smaller but the foundation makes me look 100% better and more confident than I feel without it on!

The second I have to talk about is the Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation, I love the smell of this foundation so much and when I'm not wearing it I sort of miss the scent when it's applied! weird I know! It is probably a light to medium coverage, compared to the next one I will be talking about, it is thicker than the serum foundation from their 'healthy mix' range but I prefer it to the serum because I need more coverage than the serum gives me. I only have one small complaint with this and it's that sometimes I look too yellow, I don't know if it's just in certain lighting but I usually have trouble with foundations being too orangey but this is quite yellow on me and I am sure I have yellow toned to neutral skin tone, but to be honest I could be wrong, one thing is for sure, I'm certainly not pink toned and if I was I think this would look not so great on my complexion but for now I can get away with it!

Last but definitely not least is my Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation, and this is one of my new holy grail, can't live without products I think I just need to stock up on bottles and bottles, because this is full coverage and it just makes my skin look flawless. I start off with a small amount at a time as this is the best way for the foundation not to go cakey, and it covers all the blemishes on my face apart from quite a big one I've had recently but that is a problem I just can't do much about haha! This is amazing a full coverage foundation that lasts ALL day! And also is a great shade match for my skin tone and it is just under £8 it is incredible if you want a flawless finish this one definitely gives me it!

These are all amazing products which I adore and I think they would all be great for different people, the Rimmel Match Perfection is a great one if your starting out with makeup or don't need to have that much of a heavy coverage. The Bourgeois would be amazing for yellow toned skin and the Lasting Finish is amazing if you have blemishes you may want to cover or just want a full coverage foundation. They are all my favourites!

Have you tried any of these foundations, and What is your favourite drugstore foundation?

Battle of the blushes - My favourites

I have tried and tested a lot of blushes throughout my time of being obsessed with makeup and I thought it would be nice to share my favourites as this is the time of year I start using blush more and the weather is getting a little nicer!

The Blushes in the picture above:

I am not usually the biggest blush fan usually, I only really use bronzer most of the time but recently in the past year or so, I have found these three blushes which I am in love with, and have been since so I thought I'd share my favourites as I never thought I could suit blush but I have found the perfect ones for me!

The first I will tell you about is the Benefit Rockateur Blush which is the biggest one in the picture to the left and it's so complementary towards my skin tone, I had wanted to try a rose gold-y coloured blush for ages after seeing so many people talk about the Nars blush in 'orgasm' so I decided to try the Benefit rocketeur which I picked up in duty free before my last holiday, this past summer and it's been used so much since and I haven't even hit near the pan which makes me so happy!

It retails for £23.50 but it's probably my favourite blush ever on me which is a huge claim but I'm always reaching for it and I don't think many blushes can come close for the love I have for this one.

The next blush I have is the Sleek Blush in Rose Gold which is on the bottom of the photo I took. I really love this as a spring/summer blush it's a lot more summery than the others as it looks quite bright, I wouldn't say it's bright but it's a lot more of a flush on your cheeks and is very pigmented so a light hand is definitely needed with this product! I don't really use it in any other months apart from spring and summer as most of the time I don't want to look rosy because I have quite a lot of redness from blemishes on my skin and I don't want to bring out the redness after I've covered it up if you see what I mean. It's gorgeous and a perfect shade if you love your pinks. It also has lovely shimmers in it, they are noticeable but aren't over the top which I was worried about at first but this blush just adds a little bit of shimmer which creates a healthy glow.

This blush is the cheapest one at £4.49 which is amazing for the pigmentation and quality of this blush! It can be bought from Superdrug or Boots if you are in the UK.

The last which is obviously in the right corner of the photo is the Max Factor Creme Puff blush in Seductive Pink. It's a gorgeous in-between of a pink/mauve blush it is super natural on my skin tone and lasts for a long time throughout the day- like the other two blushes mentioned. I haven't tried any other products from Max factor apart from a foundation when I tried this and it's made me think that I definitely need to try more from them as this is a gorgeous colour and complements my skin so much, whether I have a tan or not I would use this!

This one retails for £8.99 which I think is a fair price but if I didn't know how good it was I probably wouldn't have bought it but as I bought it in a 3 for 2 offer in Boots a while back I got it and I'm so glad I did!

I really want to try a few more high end blushes so what are your favourites? I'm tempted to try the Nars Blush in Love Joy and the Charlotte Tilbury blush in First Love, which I have linked below if you are intrigued to what they look like!

My Favourite Affordable Drugstore Contour Palettes

I have tried my fair share of contouring and bronzing kits, either the more expensive ones or the very affordable and perfect for when you're on a budget ones! And there are so many amazing contour kits/palettes everywhere at the moment so I thought this may be helpful for those who are on the hunt for a drugstore contour kit that would be perfect for them!

Left to Right:
Revolution Ultra Contour Palette - browse it here
Seventeen Define and Conquer Contour kit - browse it here
Revolution Contour kit - browse it here
Sleek Face Contour kit-browse it here

I love the Revolution palette which is to the top left of these photos I've taken, it has such a great array of shades perfect for creating that chiseled cheekbone, I find the highlighters are super great considering I wasn't expecting much I am very impressed, I love the white coloured one for everyday wear! I usually use the second shade in from the bottom row, which is seriously my perfect contour shade, it's not too taupe coloured and is not orange at all and I find most bronzing colours can literally make me look stupid because my skin is naturally quite fair and orange contour shades do not suit me on bit!

The Seventeen one is perfect for holidays I think I think my shade as I have medium, is a bit too orangey for me but if applied super lightly I can just about get away with it, I am going to get so much wear out of this in summer as It's more orangey toned and will flatter my summer tan a lot better than it does now! But for the price it's super affordable, and ticks all the boxes, considering it comes with a highlighter which is great although it is no comparison to most of my high end highlighters but I can deal with that! This is amazing value.

Next Up is my Revolution Sculpting Contour kit, or at least I've told myself that's what it is called! It comes with a contour shade, a highlighter and a pretty pink/coral blush, it is so compact and the products are quite good for a cheaper drugstore brand, Makeup Revolution give brands like Seventeen, Miss Sporty a run for there money as the products are of similar prices and just work well. The bronzing shade isn't the best match for my skin tone but when I have fake tan on it's the perfect colour and for bronzing up my neck and face to match the rest of my body it works so well. The blush is a lovely sweet coral/pink colour which is really flattering on lots of skin tones. I have used the highlighter twice and also think it's good, so this palette is so affordable at only £3.50 yes it's unbelievable how much you can get for your money from Makeup revolution!

Lastly I am going to mention my Sleek Contour Kit mine is in fair, it is a lovely small little face duo perfect for adding colour into your skin with the bronzing shade and the gorgeous little highlighter shade, this is one of the best contour kits I've tried from Superdrug, which is a drugstore shop or those who may be unfamiliar with UK drugstore shops! the contour shade doesn't come out too dark for my skin and blend so easily compared to most of these other shades of bronzing/contour shades. It's a perfect little contour kit!

Here are all the Contour Kits/Palettes I have mentioned, and the contents of them all.

Travel Friendly Palettes

I am a girl who loves a good makeup palette, whether it's eyeshadows or a bronzing/blush palette I love them all! So I thought I would share my favourite travel friendly palettes as I have so many palettes I thought this would be an interesting read for those who want to find easier to travel around with makeup, which can just be popped in your handbag and won't take up to much space!

I will leave links to all of these palettes below if you want to check them out!

So the palettes I have chosen to feature in this post are:
Tanya Burr Hollywood Palette - here

Urban Decay Naked 2 Basics Palette - here

Makeup Revolution Iconic 3 Palette - here

Mac quad (made myself) -
Omega - here
Woodwinked - here
Palette (quad) -  here

Below is a photo I took of all the palettes in natural lighting so this is how they look, and they look as true to colour as I could possibly get them too.

Tanya Burr Hollywood Palette -
This palette is perfect for travelling, I have only tried this palette out of all of Tanya's quad palettes, and the colours are absolutely stunning! I love the shade 'gold coin' it's so pretty and looks pretty on the lids but still remains quite natural compared to other shadows. I love this palette and a I went away for the weekend a few weeks ago and took this palette and it was so travel friendly and having a mirror makes it even more handy as you can do your eyeshadow just about anywhere!

Urban Decay Naked 2 Basics Palette -
This palette is one perfect for everyday, in fact I use it everyday as I always use the middle shade for filling in my brows as you can see I do use it quite a lot haha! I also love using the second shade in just to cover veins on my eye lids when I just want it to look natural and barely look like I have any eye shadow on my lids, it's also a great palette for creating browny smokey eyes so it has so many uses and you can create a variety of eye looks using just this little palette!

Makeup Revolution Iconic 3 Palette -
I never thought pink eyeshadow would look nice on me, I've always wanted to try it but had been too scared. So when I noticed this palette around four/five months ago I wanted to give it a go especially for the £4 price tag but I was definitely a bit skeptical because of how cheap it was, it sounded to good to be true! but It isn't! I am amazed at the quality and I am so looking forward to using this palette in the summer as I think these shades will look beautiful and I just think they look so summery. I think this is such a good palette size, it's a bit bigger than the first two palettes but it would be perfect for a date night or weekend away and they just look so pretty and girly that it looks like you've spent ages doing your makeup, they are such pigmented eyeshadows and I really recommend this gorgeous £4 palette!

Mac Quad -
Lastly out of all my favourite travel friendly palettes is my Mac quad, I only have two eye shadows called 'Omega' and 'Woodwinked' but you can fill up these palettes yourself and pick the exact shades which you want which I think is amazing! I love using Omega for my eyebrows too sometimes to just add a bit more colour and fill them in. I think Woodwinked is such a stunning golden coloured eyeshadow which has the most gorgeous shimmer but isn't too over the top, it's perfect to pair with a pink or red lip and this palette is so small you could definitely take it most places as it'll probably fit in a clutch bag or a purse so is definitely very travel friendly!

A Mini Feel Unique Haul

I adore buying makeup, but as you can see by this little haul I did have some self control this time, but not much! as I still managed to picked up a makeup product! So I hope you enjoy this little post!

The products I purchased:

The Balm Mary Lou Manizer Highlighter - here
Cocoa Brown Tough Stuff - here

The Feel Unique Website - www.feelunique.com

So firstly I picked up the infamous and very much talked about Mary Lou Manizer highlighter which I tested out straight away as I just could not resist, it's so beautiful, snd a super shimmery highlighter and it looks gorgeous on the eyes and above the cheekbone area and basically it's just so pretty if I could apply it everywhere to my face I probably would... as it makes me feel like a glowing goddess!
It looks very gold/champagne colour in the pan which you can see in the photo I took of it below, but when it's applied its like a mixture of cream/gold so it's the perfect in between so it doesn't look crazy, it doesn't look coloured to me when applied, just a gorgeous glow, but it is very glowy and makes wherever you apply it to, on your skin look shiny and youthful, and it is literally amazing for above contour and makes chubby faced me, actually look like I have some cheekbones woo! It's clear to say, I'm in love!

This next item is something I have really been in need of, as I have recently got more into fake tan and making my not so tanned skin a bit darker, I really wanted to invest in a good body scrub one that would really make my fake tan apply better and one that would be amazing for removing excess tan which may have gone not so nice. I had tried the Cocoa Brown tan in Dark, and I love it and for such good value it's amazing and the colour is so gorgeous. I love being in the sun but I don't like the risks it apposes to my skin, especially since my face burns like a peach I have started taking much better care of my skin especially when being in the sun, so I decided I would rather fake tan as that is a lot better than damaging my skin in the long term.

I love being tanned, I don't mind being pale but I find foundation is so much easier to match me when I'm tanned, maybe I'm just super fussy but I find foundations never match me correctly, either they are too pink toned or make me look ghostly white, and then the next shade up is usually too orangey on my skin! You can never win. When my body has it's natural colour I usually mix foundations to get a better and more precise colour match. But I love fake tanning and even though it's a lengthy process it makes me feel better about myself and personally I love my makeup more when I have a tan!

Brows For Every Budget

I love having full eyebrow! I just love the appearance of them especially on my face shape, I have tried and tested plenty of eye brow kits and eye shadow shades to fill in my eyebrows and I thought I would share with you my favourite for achieving natural and full eyebrows from a low to higher budget!

Now I adore each of these palettes and think the products are amazing quality so they would all be amazing, I have naturally dark-ish blonde hair! So I usually have the use quite light shades for my brows as I think this suits me best I will be taking you though the shades I also use in particular in each of the palettes! So Enjoy!

Seventeen Brow Kit - here at www.boots.com
I really enjoy using this palette on days where I want something quick and simple, this little palette is so useful as it has a mini brush and an eyebrow pencil so this is really handy for travelling and on the go! (although all of these are really!) It comes with a wax on the left hand side and the brow powder in the middle it is quite a mid toned brown colour but I can get away with it with my hair colour, although it's super easy for my eyebrows to look too much for me as I am heavy handed so I need a light hand when applying this, but don't get me wrong, it's a lovely colour when applied. It also comes with the white shade on the right which is perfect for highlighting the brow bone if you do so wish! I think this is so great and affordable at only £5.99!

Mac Quad - Omega and Woodwinked - here at www.selfridges.com
The next brow powder I use is this eye shadow from Mac which is called 'Omega' now I first discovered this after watching many YouTube videos where beauty guru's would use this shade if they had blonde to light brow hair and it looked amazing, so I had to try it myself and it just creates a really natural eyebrow colour and is so easy to create the appearance of thicker or fuller brows as this eyeshadow can be built up and doesn't straight away give you crazy eyebrows as the colour is light but not too light for filling in my eyebrows so I think this is great, however I do not use the other shade as I only use that on my eyes! This eyeshadow on it's own retails for £10 from Mac.

Omega - here
Woodwinked - here
(woodwinked not used as a brow shade by the way it is a shimmery gold!)

Urban Decay Naked Basics 2 Palette - here at www.houseoffraser.co.uk
Lastly but definitely not least is my Urban Decay Naked Basics 2 palette, now this is so versatile and is so good as it has basically every eye brow shade you could need and I love using this as a palette for my eye shadow as well as an almost everyday essential for filling in my eye brows. I just find it has every neutral eye shadow shade I would need and it's just a bonus that it has my perfect shade for filling in my eyebrows which is called 'Frisk' as you can probably tell because I have hit the pan quite a bit now! I think this has such a variety of shades so I would say it's literally a perfect eyebrow palette! even though it's an eyeshadow palette it's perfect as it's basically a 2 in 1! The only downside is the price at £23 but it can be used in so many ways and with Urban Decay products you get what you pay for! The quality is amazing!

Makeup brush cleaning and My Essentials

I wanted to do a post a bit different today it's still beauty/makeup related but I just thought it would be something a bit different to a makeup review or what I'm loving at the moment, and that is makeup brush cleaning!
Now I personally hate cleaning my makeup brushes as it's such a tedious chore, but definitely HAS to be done!
Now I don't use anything fancy really, I had started using baby shampoo for my brushes ever since I actually started washing my makeup brushes which was quite a few years ago and I definitely recommend it, as it gets rid of the dirt and I find gets stains out of my brushes the best!
Baby shampoo is great as it is cheap and can be bought from drugstore shops and in super markets, so it's perfect for picking up from just about anywhere!
You can buy the Johnson's Baby Shampoo here

I have also started regularly using this silicone brush cleaning mitt (well I say mitt but it is tiny!) It has a slot on the bottom which you can use like a mitt which you can hold with two fingers on one hand and then with the other hand you can swirling the brush in water and then using your soap or in my case baby shampoo then cleaning the brush with the mitt. and repeat this process until they are clean! It is super quick (a lot quicker than I made it sound haha)

The only down side to this little mitt/brush cleaner is how small it is! I did get it from amazon for under £2 so it's great for eye brushes and small face brushes, but for bigger brushes it's not worth using! It works on all my brushes I would say except my Real Techniques powder brush and to be honest it definitely would but just will take a lot longer than the others!

I definitely want to try another bigger silicone brush cleaner/mitt because I love this method and it makes the process a lot easier and quicker! I know Soap and Glory do one and also

Love Me Beauty - What I got In My Box

I had wanted to try love me beauty for a while now and I thought why not take the plunge when they had a offer on which got me all of this for only £4.95 including p&p lets just say I was pretty damn chuffed with this little bargain!

If any of you want to use my promo code to get your own credits to get a love me beauty box, then my code 'JESSI357will give you £21 of credits! enjoy!

Love Me Beauty Website - www.lovemebeauty.com

So let me go through everything I got! everything came in a lovely grey box embellished with 'love me beauty' on the front which was gorgeous and so sleek. I have actually already started using it to hold some body products otherwise I would have put this in the blog post!
Let me also explain that unlike other subscription boxes, love me beauty lets you choose all the things you want to try yourself, with the credits you have which are what cost the money, so you buy the amount of credits you want then spend them! which I think is great as you can pick everything you'll use and it isn't so much a waste as some other beauty subscriptions might be if you don't use the products!

The first product I picked out were these little love me beauty eye lash curlers which are obviously from there brand! I think they are amazing though as I have actually tried and tested all these products now, after receiving this box around a month ago! They really create a great curl and I didn't think eye lash curlers were that important but these are soo good!

I then chose this brow pencil called the Lord and Berry Magic Brow mine is called 'Wonderful' as it is the shade for blonde hair and it's such an amazing brow pencil I am super duper happy and I really wasn't expecting it to be that great when I got it as I have high expectations for products and usually I end up disappointed but nope, this is the perfect match for my eye brows and it has a spooley on the other end so it's really useful how this is like a 2 in 1 product! perfect for travelling too!

Now I couldn't go without this product when I was looking online at everything I could have chose from! It's the Nails Inc Gel Effect nail polish in 'Hyde Park' and I am obsessed but I won't go on too much as my last post had this featured in it which I will link below if you want to read it but it's such a greyish blue colour which doesn't sound that great but it is so so pretty!

Lastly I got a very talked about product in the blogging world, which is the Dr Paw Paw red tinted balm, it is a multi purpose balm which can be a lip balm or can be used on your eye lids and it's basically just a balm which has many purposes! I have been using it as a lip balm/moisturiser and it smells lovely and does really hydrate my lips before and after I am wearing lipstick.

So those were the products! I love everything and I still can't believe I got them all for such an amazing price!
