October Favourites

Now is October Favourites time! I felt like the last month went so incredibly fast, but I'm excited to tell you all about these products I have been loving and most of them are all makeup so if you love makeup, which I assume you must do if you're reading my beauty blog! So keep reading if you want to hear more about these glorious makeup and one bath product favourites!

The first two I'm loving are my two Mac lipsticks the one on the left is the colour 'Russian Red' which I love as it's the most lovely red it's not too bright or too dark, but I would describe it as a classic red colour which is great for important events/parties as it's matte and lasts a long time and looks sophisticated and really pretty on so many skin tones and the colour being more of a muted colour which isn't too bright just looks stunning and I love it!
The second is 'Rebel' which I'm sure most bloggers/Youtuber's have heard of as it was hyped about so much last year, I have used this a lot this month as my lips have been quite dry and this isn't matte so it doesn't make my lips even worse, it's a lovely berry colour when one layer is applied to the lips but when two to three coats are applied it looks a lot darker and is a perfect vampy purple lip perfect for autumn and winter!

Next I have been obsessed with snow fairy! A lovely magical shower gel from Lush or at least it just feels and smells magical! It is so super sweet and I love how this is a scent from Lush that they bring out at Christmas but it's still a super girly and perfect product to gift someone at Christmas as a little goes a long way and the scent lingers for so long, and I can't get enough of it as I can't most Christmas' (and about six months after) It is the prettiest pink colour and it's perfect for me as I love anything pink in my bath along with all the lovely pink bath bombs from Lush!

Thirdly I am loving the seventeen Falsify mascara and I'll be honest, I didn't think it would live up to my trusty Maybelline Lash Sensational but it's definitely a close second! for a drugstore mascara it is the bomb and makes my eye lashes (that are so so short may I add) look so much thicker and longer and I don't know how it's so good but it doesn't look fake and unnatural, I think if I did a lot of coats of this it would live up to the 'falsify' term as it just adds loads of length for me and I don't know how but I am LOVING IT!

Now I never thought I would say this but I am in love with this nail polish, it has not left my nails for about 3/4 of this month and I am never obsessed with nail polish much, I just tend to buy ones and are dissapointed with the colours or quality, this one has lasted a good four days on my nails with 2-3 coats which is so good for me as I struggle to get any to last longer than a day without chipping while doing simple daily chores and activities. It is the colour 'Cherry Jubilee' and would you believe this was a free gift with an Avon purchase my mum made and to be honest, I haven't put it down and she's probably wondering where it is, ooops... better put it back soon but if you have the chance the Avon Pro nail + range is such good quality and lasts a lot longer than Barry M and L'Oreal on my nails!

Lastly but totally utterly not the least is my NAKED SMOKY. This palette is just a dream come true and I have loved it especially this month because in the colder weather I can get away with the dark blues and the gun metal shades, which really look nice with a brown or black smokey eye. I love how you can create so many looks with just this one palette there are the easier to were shades and the intense colours so it's perfect for creating something simple and on the more natural side or something a bit more out there!

Rimmel London Foundation Routine

I'm both a lover of foundations from both the drugstore e.g. Boots or Superdrug in the UK, but I also love high end foundations too, for example, Estee Lauder, Mac etc. But today I wanted to share my foundation and concealer routine using two of my favourite Rimmel London products.

So the two products I use regularly are: The Rimmel Match Perfection foundation in 103 True Ivory, and the Rimmel Wake me up concealer in Ivory. The concealer is the lightest shade in the range I think, but it's lighter than my skin tone and the foundation so it's perfect from creating that lightening effect under the eyes which also makes me look more awake, so it's a winner for me!

Firstly the foundation is a great match for me probably the best drugstore foundation colour wise for me, it blends in super well and there's no obvious foundation line. It offers I think a light to medium coverage but it covers spots and blemishes quite well for me so I rarely need to use much concealer on my pesky blemishes when I use this foundation. It lasts well for a drugstore foundation I think this is because of the consistency it isn't too thin or too thick but it's a nice in between. I love using it when I know I want a basically perfect colour match to my skin and want to look nice and glowy as without powdering this offers a nice natural glow but doesn't make my oily patches look too much!

The concealer I will then use under my eyes, I do the typical triangle shapes under both of my eyes and then blend it in put patting it in rather than blending it in, as this is the way I find works best for me and I don't need as much of the concealer under my eyes so cover the darker patches when I've had a late night! I rarely use it for blemishes at it's suppose to be a 'wake me up' effect concealer so I don't want to bring more attention to my blemishes but if I don't have any other concealer a.k.a my favourite-istt one for covering blemishes the collection lasting perfection which can also be bough from Boots or Superdrug in the UK. But I'm not sure if they stock it anywhere else unfortunately!
But if I don't this is when I will use this concealer, but I love this one for brightening my dark and tired eyes.

I hope at least one of you found this helpful if you're looking for some makeup base gems from the drugstore!

These two are so much cheaper than high end foundations and concealers as these two work just as well in my opinion!

Here are the products I use if you want to take a look at them a bit more:

Primers that work Best for me

So something that's become a little more popular in the past few years, in the beauty/youtube/blogging community is primers which are a must have for me!

Primers are great for prolonging the wear of your makeup as they help to stick the products down better to your face/eyes etc. wherever you use a primer it can help with keeping the product on there, and also to apply makeup smoother. For me personally I use a primer as it makes the makeup stick better on the dry patches of my face, as some primers can be moisturising too, this can help with dryness and also some primers can help with oily-ness too, they will soak up the excess oils in your skin, before you apply makeup to those areas.

So the primers I think are great are these ones, they may not all do exactly the same things but I will tell you about why I love each one and hopefully this will help or encourage one of you to use a primer before your makeup base.

Nivea Express Hydration Primer - Buy Here - Boots.com
This primer is obviously the most moistursing for me as you can see it just looks like a normal moisturiser in a pot. This is the one for dry skin, so I use this mainly on my dry patches as I have combination skin I don't need to apply it all over. I don't feel it makes my makeup last much longer as I use a full coverage foundation on an every day basis, and they tend to last a long time anyway! But if you have dry skin or lots of dry patches this feels really nourishing and leaves me skin feeling silky and baby soft!

The Body Shop Instablur Primer - Buy Here:
The body shop's makeup line I had never really tried before trying this and the BB Cream, but I don't know why I didn't try it sooner, this one and the next one have the most similar consistencies out of all of these primers and they really help to create a flawless looking base for makeup, I am also aware that they have bought out an eye shadow primer version of this so I'm definitely going to be on the hunt to find that sooon! I think this one is definitely in my top 2!

Maybelline Instant pore eraser - Buy Here - Boots.com :
This primer is very easy to apply it comes out all in one squeeze of the tube, which is great unlike the body shop one where it's always flying out of the tube! (Am I the only one, God knows?!)
It does seem to make my face look a lot less red, which I don't know if I'm just thinking it does or it just blurs my imperfections a little... well I'm not sure but I like it anyway!

Benefit PoreFessional Primer - Buy Here - Boots.com
Now the drum roll for my favourite one which has got the be the Benefit Porefessional, it just has a lovely texture and leaves my skin looking flawless and poreless! And many products I find don't live up to how good they say they are but this one just is a game changer for me, If I don't use this for one day my skin looks drier, dull and lifeless, but this one I feel just blurs imperfections and makes my pores nearly invisible! Which is amazing!

Which Is my Favourite?

Well without a doubt it would be the Porefessional but for those on more of a budget I would recommend the Body shops instablur! They both just make my skin look and feel like a million dollars and if I don't use any primer I can always tell the difference; my makeup lasts a lot longer than without one and looks a lot more smoother and airbrushed!

Have you tried any of these?
What primers do you recommend to me?!

Makeup Of The Day #2

So let me start off by introducing you to this new blog post! If you haven't read my previous one you can check it out here. So basically I just wanted to update you with my makeup of the day, now this changes a lot but this is what I've been using for the past week and I love all the products so much and they work amazingly together!

BASE:
So my for the base I haven't been using a primer, I use the MaxFactor All day flawless foundation as I think this one works well and it claims to be a 'primer, concealer and foundation all in one' so that is the reason I don't use a primer, and with most full coverage foundations, this one is one, I find they last me a lot longer than lighter coverage foundations/ bb creams.

Next for my base I then use the Seventeen 'define and conquer' contour kit and I just use the contour bronze-y shade to bronze up my face, although I'm not contouring heavily as the shade is a little light for my skin tone. I then use the same palette/kit and use the highlighter shade on my temples, so around the top of my head, above my cheekbones, on the top of my lips, down my nose and on my chin. And I just do this which makes the bronzer pop a lot more, which I need as it's slightly lighter than my skin and doesn't show up as well, it'll be a great contour palette for pale skin so if you're wanting to try one it's super for £5.99! But my sleek one is my most favourite contour kit ever which can be bought from Boots and Superdrug stores or on the Sleek Website which is only about a pound or less more!

EYES:
For my eyes as a base I use the Mac Prolong wear paint pot in painterly, which is amazing as a base and on it's own I don't know how an earth I lived without it before?!?! I love it as a base for eye shadow's as it gets rid of excess oils or moisture you may have on your eyelids and preps them for eye shadow which goes on a lot smoother with this paint pot! But on it's own it is a natural shade, that just covers up veins you may have visible on your eyelids.
So I then used my Naked 2 Basics Palette from Urban decay which just has the prettiest natural eye shadows that are perfect for me on a daily basis as the first two shades can look like your not wearing any eye shadow at all, but they still look really nice and complement my skin tone well. For my Makeup of the day I have been using the colours: Skimp on the lid, and in the crease I have been loving using Primal which just adds a bit of definition, but doesn't look to harsh with my other makeup on too.
For Mascara I use the Maybelline Lash Sensational which is just my FAVE! It seems to work better than any other drugstore mascara I've used adds so much length to my lashes, and adds volume but not too much, so it still looks natural and doesn't clump! Which is my favourite thing about it as I don't feel it looks like I'm wearing mascara and my lashes could be mistaken for false lashes!

LIPS:
For Lips my favourite-ist part of makeup haha! I have been using daily this week without fail at all, is the Mac Lipstick in Velvet Teddy, which I'm sure every beauty blogger has heard of as to be honest it's probably the most popular Mac lipstick of 2015, but it's the loveliest and most classy looking lippy I have come across I just feel as sassy and sophisticated when I use it and that makes me love it even more!

Do you use any of these Makeup products in your MOTD?! If so or if not tell me in the comments below I'd love to know!

Seventeen liquid highlighters | Mini Review

Today I'm bringing you all the two products I have been loving from a glowing complexion. These two highlighters are both from Seventeen, which can be bought from Boots or Superdrug or the Seventeen website. They are such great value for money and I recently featured them in a blog post makeup haul with lots of other Seventeen makeup products which you can check out here

I have especially been loving these two highlighters as I am loving a dewy base for under my foundation as my skin is looking a lot drier in the recent cold whether! I also like to use it as just a highlight for just above my cheekbones, or mixed with foundation to make me look more luminous!

The Tan Glow Liquid I have used the least at the moment, but I can't wait to use it next Summer to add a nice glow to my skin, as I think if I used it now I would look a bit too shimmery especially as it's getting so cold I think I will get a lot of wear out of it next Summer! I have used it two or three times when the weather has been nicer and have loved it then so I can't wait to use it more in the warmer months, this one can also be used three ways but it wouldn't look as subtle as the one on the right. I'm sure it'll give a beautiful bronzed glow, perfect for next Summer!

The Skin Wow Highlighter, is more white, and gives you more of an awake highlight and makes me look a lot more alive! And now as it's winter weather or coming up to it my skin gets super dry and this brings back some life into it. I have used it all three ways, as a primer under my foundation, I really love the way it looks subtle but instantly makes me look more awake and full of life. I have used it mixed with foundation and I think you have to use a little more of this than your foundation if you want to look nice and dewy, but it looks lovely like this too, not too over the top but gives the appearance of beautiful and radiant skin. I have also used it as a highlight on the highest points of my face, so above my cheekbones, on my forehead, chin, and just above my lip (or cupid's bow) whatever you want it to be called haha!

I would probably give them an 8.5 out of 10. They are amazing, lovely consistencies to blend easily, they aren't too expensive, the packaging looks really nice with them much like all the other Seventeen products!

I really enjoy using these highlighters and for a good value drugstore highlighter they are definitely worth the money and would look beautiful on pretty much any skin tone or colour. They can be quite subtle, or built up to be quite out there so if you like the sound of them I would recommend them to anyone wanting to try a drugstore highlighter.

Do you have a favourite highlighter?
Whether it's Drugstore or High End I would love to know!

Top Three Perfumes

I am without a doubt a girl who loves perfume, every single day without fail I will be wearing one, as a girl who loves makeup, clothes, shoes you name it I love it! So how could I not love perfumes too... even if they are super expensive and do make a big dent in my bank balance!

So today I will be sharing a quick post of my three favourite perfumes, all in the picture above, so these three are my most used in my collection and even though I only have two more perfumes these are the ones I always go back too! So stick around if you want to read more about them!

So the first two of my favourite perfumes are by Marc Jacobs and I think if you haven't heard of his perfumes you must be living under a rock, because they are without a doubt some of the most prettiest and Instagram worthy perfumes and the bottles are just beautifullll!

Now the Daisy dream is probably my most favourite one and I'm so in love with the scent it's lovely and floral but just smells a lot more as if it suits my age more than the Daisy perfume on the right. Mainly because I think Daisy dream is sweeter and I love sweet scents but nonetheless I do love them both! It's a very elegant scent and is very girly which I love it has some blackberry and jasmine thrown in there and it seriously smells divine!

Daisy is a lovely perfume which I think is perfect for most ages, I feel like my bottle did go down very quickly and I don't know if you can see but it's practically empty, I'm thinking this is because my mum freqently stole it off me and I would find it on her dressing table, so it is definitely a scent suited to a lot of ages, and is a nice one to wear anywhere. It is described as a sunny fragrance and I would agree, the daisy scent makes it super summery and warm and a happy scent!
Now Chloe, is a lovely scent, not at all like the other two in my opinion, I think it is such a lovely fragrance if you want to feel more grown up as it has a lovely light floral scent but can be quite strong when first applied, the things that I love love love about this one is it's lasting power it just lasts so well on my skin, and I'm always getting complements on the perfume I'm wearing it usually is this one! The scent is a mixture of peony and rose and a few others but these are the ones I love the most and make the fragrance so so lovely!

The next perfume on my wishlist is definitely the Peony and Blush Seude by Jo Malone it smells SO  good!

What are your favourite perfumes girls?

Mini Haul | Rimmel Kate Moss Lipsticks

These Lipsticks are SO Gorgeous! They are the Rimmel Kate Moss lipsticks, and I bought them recently from Superdrug, for around £4 each on an offer, which was a total steal as I have four other Kate Moss Lipstick's which you can take a look at in my Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick's Collection here, which I will have to update soon as I have these beauties to add!
So the one on the Left hand side is the number '03' it's a gorgeous muted pinkish brown/ it is a lovely nude colour and I feel it really complements my skin tone well and I'm sure would complement a lot of skin tones too, as I have been using them for a few weeks now but took the pictures previously (but who doesn't like taking pictures of their new untouched makeup haha am I right) They are both so pigmented and smell amazing for drugstore lipsticks as I've had a few that I hated the smell so much I can barely use them! *cough Bourjois rouge edition velvet's*

The one on the Right hand side is '38' which I have heard a lot about this year especially from beauty guru's on YouTube I have been lusting over it for ages and ages and I'm so happy I finally have it and I'm not disappointed I'm been so obsessed with using it as it looks so pretty and complements my lip shape, I've only been using it for a few weeks and within the first two applications I knew it was love...

Left To Right - Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick in '03', Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick in '38',

Here are the links below to them:
www.feelunique.com

As I previously said I love the Rimmel Kate Moss Lipsticks and they are the Brand I always go back to and they never fail to impress me with the quality and how beautiful all the lipsticks apply and last, they are probably my favourite drugstore lipsticks along with the L'Oreal Eva's nude lipstick! *heart eyes emoji* but they are so comparable to Mac, and other high end lipsticks I have used and they are less than half the price or even a third of some expensive lipsticks I own!

Have You Ever Tried Rimmel Kate Moss Lipsticks If so, what are your favourites?!
I'd love to know in the comments below!

My Three Part Skincare Routine - Moisturising

As it's getting a little colder now I thought I would bring my skincare routine to my blog and rave about three of my favourite skincare products- although of course they are my favourites or I wouldn't put them in this haha!

Now this is all about the products I use to moisturise, so if your looking to see what I take makeup off with/face masks I use I will be doing a separate post on these soon!
So I start off by moisturising in the mornings, sometimes I use a face scrub but not always, so I will just be telling you about the products I use religiously and ones I never miss out at least try to not!
The moisturiser I use in the mornings is the Garnier Moisture Match in 'Goodbye dry' and it just does that! It feels quite thick when you squeeze the moisturiser out of the tube, but it really isn't very thick and sinks in relatively quickly considering it really does help combat my dry patches which I find not much actually helps! I love it because it doesn't really have a scent just a moisturiser scent, which is great for me as products with strong fragrance can irritate my unbelievably sensitive skin! So if you're like me and react to most products you should try this I hope it will work for you all too with dry skin!

So I only really take care of my skin thoroughly in the mornings and evenings, I do use other products to take off makeup and cleanse, so you'll have to wait for a few blog posts before I show you all.

In the evenings I use my Avon Cocoa Butter Face cream which is my fave moisturiser to use overnight as I feel it really softens my skin and leaves it feels baby soft in the morning -which is the best feeling ever am I right? It takes a while to dry and absorb into my skin but it's all worth it for the baby bottom soft face I gain the next day. haha. It works magic on me really and I wasn't expecting to love a moisturiser so much and not to mention how divine the smell is... I could eat it!

Then when I'm needing a bit of moisture under those eyes where the hefty eye bags lay, I use the Simple Soothing Eye Balm which is a recent skincare discovery but I'm not dissapointed I feel like it really makes my eyes less puffy and less tired so if I put it on at night even if I don't get much sleep at least my under eyes aren't the ones suffering. Love this stuff!

So all of these products altogether cost around £10 depending on offers I got them all with, I think that's pretty good for how much I love all of these three skincare products. I recommend any of them if not all, but I have combination but quite dry skin at the same time, and blemish/acne prone skin and since nothing works to improve the appearance of my skin I just use products targeted at my skin type which is mostly dry.

Hope this interested a few of you,
What's your skincare holy grail product(s)?!

September Favourites

I thought as I don't even think I've done a favourites post (even if I have) I would do one this month, as I've loved so much! well last month now, considering its October 1st but yeah, so these are the  most 'loveable' (I think that's the word) items I haven't been living without over the past month or so!

So I have the Zoella scrubbing me softly body scrub, The seventeen skin wow highlighter, Garnier micellar water, a beautiful berry red Avon nail polish, the Seventeen Contour Kit and a Makeup Revolution Lip Lava, so keep reading if you want to know why I have been loving them all so very much!
So firstly the Zoella scrubbing me softly, body scrub smells so so lovely, it's not too overpowering like I find some scrubs are and it's really great for prepping my skin for fake tan if I want to use one or even a gradual tan it was features in my Fake Tan Faves post if you want to read that I have a more in depth review of it on there!
To buy it from superdrug I believe it was around £7-8 so it isn't cheap...well for a scrub, but I find a little goes a long way so that's how I justify it and oh the smell of it too! *mmm it smells amazing*

The Seventeen skin wow I have been using for about two weeks now and I'm loving it, I LOVE highlighting at the moment and I feel like I can't wear makeup without it anymore! It makes my makeup look fresh and makes me feel like I look more awake too, if that possible even makes any sense? It can be used as a normal highlight to add a glow to the high points of your face, or it can be mixed with your foundation, or just applied as a primer, I have also loved using it as a primer, it's great for when my skin feels dry as I want it to look more dewy and basically the opposite of dry, to look dewy and to make my skin look better than it feels, especially in the winter weather I think I will be using this a lot!

I have been loving the Garnier micellar water, which let's face it you probably do as well since I swear every has it now haha! It is amazing though but I won't babble on about it as so many people have it would just be a repeat of what you have probably heard already...
All I will say is it's around £5 and it's amazing!

My Avon Nail polish is in 'Cherry Jubilee' it is such a lovely reddy/purple colour and looks so pretty on my nails, it actually looks exactly like the bottle which some nail polishes don't look exactly the same but this does and I'm happy about this as it looks lovely on my nails for a good 4-5 days!

The last Seventeen product in this favourites is the Define and Conquer Contour kit, it is a lovely highlighting and contour duo, the contour colour is lovely, the only downside is mine is in medium and has to be built up quite a lot to show up on my skin, but I love the product when it's on my skin and the highlighter doesn't look fake, it looks quite natural but you can tell you skin is looking a bit more glowy!

My last product for this favourites I have been wearing throughout this month, it is the Makeup revolution Lip Lava in 'Tremor' it's a nice pinky shade, and is like a liquid lipstick but it doesn't dry very quickly, so that means it's moisturising and looks so nice and glossy on but isn't sticky, so it looks like a lipgloss but is very pigmented and is a lovely pinky liquid lipstick and I'm loving it for £2.99 I want to try some more of them!

What are your makeup/skincare or random favourites of the month of September?!
