New Years Nails Of The Day Ideas

I love doing my nails especially for special occasions and new years eve is no exception for that, as lots of people are going to party's or going out with friends tonight to celebrate new years when the clock strikes 12! I thought I would share some New Years nail ideas with you as these are the type of colours I want to wear tonight! It's a shame I can't wear them all.

My favourite of the three with out a doubt is this Tanya Burr nail polish in 'Cookie Cutter' it is a gorgeous glitter nail polish and I see why she named it this, as it just reminds me of sweet treats like chocolate and cookies! A great one for christmas too I had this on my ring fingers and I loved it so much! It is a gorgeous colour but is sadly limited edition and is from the Gingerbread trio which was a christmas gift set from her range!
£4.99 for these nail polishes

I have now chosen some more muted colours as on New Years if your outfit is quite out there you may want some pretty, natural nails to complement your outfit.

The first I have chosen in the Barbara Daly nail polish in 'Tea Pink', it is such a lovely peachy pink but is quite a dark but muted pink so it isn't too out there but adds lots of colour and really looks nice on so many skin tones, pale to darker skin I think it would suit such a variety! It can be purchased from Tesco in the UK, but can probably be found online if you aren't from the UK.
This one was a gift but I'm is around £3-4

The last nail polish is one of my beloved ones from Nails Inc, It's called 'Colville Mews' and this actually came from a glamour magazine a few months ago but I adore it, it just looks so classy and elegant on the nails and goes with so many outfits, this can literally be paired with any outfit as it is a nude beige-y colour. I am obsessed with using it this winter when I want something a bit less out there like a plum or dark berry shade. I don't know the exact price but most Nails Inc nail polishes are quite expensive. It lasts so well on my nails (around three days with no chipping) which is a first for most light colours like this,
They are around £10-11

What will you be wearing on your nails this New Years?

A Few Favourites Of December

So I have been loving so many amazing products this month but I wanted to share these three favourites on my blog today as I have used them all religiously this month. I think this is mainly because I love rose golds/golds and berry red autumnal shades in the winter season. And these are all these different colours which I adore wearing.
Buy them here:
Mac Warm Neutrals Palette - www.selfridges.com
Benefit Rockateur Blush - www.boots.com
Avon Nail polish in Cherry Jubilee - www.avonshop.co.uk

I love doing my eyeshadow a lot it is something I find doing is very therapeutic and I love experimenting with different eye looks mainly warm toned as I feel like warm toned colours complement my eye colour a lot more.

That is why I'm loving my Mac Warm Neutrals palette this month, as I love gold/copper eye shadows on my eyes to really make my blue-y/green eyes stand out more. I especially love using the three colours from the middle right they all create the most gorgeous orangey brown eye look they are called honey lust, amber lights and saddle, I have also loved experimenting with the two shadows on the bottom right called divine decadence and unwind. The green-y colour reminds me of mermaids and could look so pretty for a party look I think!
This palette retails for £65 which is a bit steep but I saved for so long and it should be around £150 or more as the eyeshadows separeatly retail for £10 and there are 15 eye shadows.

The next is my lovely Rockateur Blush by Benefit, it is the most gorgeous almost dark rose gold shade, it is so pretty and looks gorgeous in the hollows of the cheeks a bit like bronzing and blushing yourself at the same time it adds a lovely subtle glow and just makes you look super healthy! This retails for around £23 which is expensive for makeup but I have used this so so long and I haven't even touched the pan at the bottom. (which is good as I never want it to run out!)

The last is my Avon Nail polish in Cherry Jubilee, it is one of my all time favourite nail polishes for autumn and it hasn't often been off my nails this month! If you want a lovely deep red which has slight purple tones too this is gorgeous and was only around £4, it lasts so much longer on my nails than other brands like L'Oreal and Barry M.

My Christmas Lip Choices

Today as I promised, Since it's actually Christmas Eve, eeeep! (can you tell I'm excited!)

So I wanted to share my most Christmas Appropriate Lip choices, I actually did a makeup post which will be everything I wear on my face on Christmas day featuring two of these lip products so that is HERE if you want to check if out I would love to know your thoughts!
So I have tried to cater to everyone's lip choices, as I thought this would be more interesting if there are lots of different lip colours and you can see what ones I'm loving and what one's I am likely to wear on Christmas and the period leading up to the day and the other days after christmas!

I have got one high end lipstick to share with you and three drugstore lip colours, and a drugstore lip gloss so I'd love to know which is the one out of these you would wear for Christmas Day! Or tell me what you will be wearing out of all your lip colours!

Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet Matte Lipstick in La Mysterieuse
This is such a pretty and non drying matte lipstick! The colour here in the photo doesn't really do it justice it is more of a red pink shade, and I find it really complements my skin tone. And it is my first Chanel lipstick so it is my most prized expensive lipstick in my collection! Ah I just adore it!
£26.00

Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick in 107
It is my Christmas lip option this year along with the Tanya Burr lip gloss to add a bit of shine to it! It's a beautiful berry purple/red but just looks so gorgeous with a gold eye and if you've seen my last post you'll know at christmas I'm having gold eyes and this on the lips and it's a stunning combination paired together!
£5.49

Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick in 22
Ah! This lip is for the bright red lip fans, it is gorgeous and as it isn't matte it is so moisturising, all day long. It applies so easily as it's so smooth and moisturising too, and I feel like with some contour and highlight it looks so pretty, I love a lot of highlighter with a bold lip it just makes me feel like a glowing goddess haha!
£5.49

Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick in 38
This is a gorgeous nude pink colour, which is perfect for those who just want something simple that wont ned reapplying too much, or look obvious when some has worn off your lips. It is a lovely classy and elegant colour as it just makes your lips look the perfect pink/nude which isn't too obvious.
£5.49

Tanya Burr Limited Edition Mini Lipgloss in Sugar and Spice
My newest lip gloss edition this is. The lipgloss is such a lovely consistency and smells Amazing!! It isn't too pigmented and can be worn ontop of lipsticks, I love to pair it with matte lipsticks to add some shine when they look too drying on the lips. Which is what I will be doing with Rimmel Kate 107 and this lip gloss on Christmas Day, I can't wait!
£5.99 for Full size lip glosses

My Christmas Makeup Of The Day - Everything Drugstore

Currently it is only 3 more sleeps until christmas day! and I am actually super excited! So I thought I would do a post on the makeup I plan on wear on Christmas day and this is it, carry on if you want to see everything I used! I used only drugstore products as I'm really loving so much from Boots and Superdrug at the moment! (UK Drugstore Beauty shops)

So I first used my new favourite foundation the Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation, which I featured in a Drugstore Makeup haul here which gives such a flawless base and gives a light to medium coverage. I use the shade 52 which is the second lightest shade.

I then used the Soap and Glory kick ass concealer, just to cover up my dark circles with the peachier shade in the duo and then the more yellow shade to cover any pesky blemishes! It's a really good concealer duo as both shades will be good for most skin tones, to correct and conceal.

I didn't use any bronzer as I think I don't need too much with the bold lip and dramatic eyes but you could use some on your skin! I used a No7 highlighting stick to make me skin glow and look really fresh, which I think is perfect for christmas day as I can go all out with the shimmery eye shadows and glowing skin!

I will then use the gorgeous Tanya Burr Hollywood palette which you can see below, I am just going to use the first light shade called 'Nude Delight' and Then the shade 'Enchantment' which is the most pretty gold shade, but it stays on the eyes so well with minimal fallout. If there is any I will just clear this up again with my soap and glory concealer.

This part is also optional but I then used a tiny bit of 'Bookworm' just to deepen up my crease and to just pull the eye look together.

I then will apply generous amounts of the Maybelline Lash Sensational after I have curled my lashes lots of times to create the look of some long and curly eyelashes.

I then have two options for lip colours but if you want a pink or a lighter red shade instead of any of these I have a Christmas lip ideas post coming on Christmas Eve, so watch out for that my loves!

So the first shade which I may use is an affordable drugstore lipstick is Rimmel Kate Moss in 107. It is a gorgeous dark berry colour which suits so many skin tones and is perfect for the colder season.

The second is the Tanya Burr lip gloss, mine is from her limited edition Gingerbread trio which had this lip gloss and Glittery Nail Polish and a nail file, this particular lip gloss is called 'Sugar and Spice' it has a little bit of colour to it, but nothing to out there so I may use a combination of both on Christmas Day.

I hope you enjoyed reading and watch out for my christmas lip ideas post coming on Christmas Eve.

Merry Christmas Everyone!

My Gemporia Christmas Wishlist

Today I am sharing with you a Christmas Wishlist I have created in collaboration with an online jewellery company called Gemporia

They have some really lovely affordable necklaces, bracelets and rings as well as the more expensive ones too, but they just look so Stunning and are such feminine pieces, and now I just can't wait to try something from them.

Here are a few gorgeous items I have picked to put in this Christmas wishlist post, as Gemporia has some stunning jewellery and I wish I could have everything! I really love Gold and Rose Gold jewellery so most of them are sort of similar but I also love the silver jewellery too. I think jewellery is such a good christmas present as they are things that can be worn over and over again, and don't go out of fashion unlike clothes!

If you want to check out any of these items in my wishlist above, I have linked each of the pieces in order of above so if you click on the jewellery name below it will take you straight to the item on the website!

I hope you enjoyed reading something a bit different on my blog, I think jewellery can really make you feel so much more put together sometimes and looks so classy and elegant as my blog is all about beauty and making yourself feel beautiful I have included this post as jewellery can be such a lovely touch to any outfit or occasion, as it's almost christmas I thought what better time to do this post.

Let me know what you think of these jewellery pieces too!

*Wishlist in Collaboration with Gemporia, however all thoughts opinions are my own.

Autumnal Christmas Party Makeup

It's getting super close to Christmas now that I thought with only just over a week to go until Christmas day I would share my christmassy related makeup with you all which is glittery and glamorous and I thought it was perfect for christmas parties!

So I used all the products below and the lipstick from the second picture to create a christmas party makeup look, sadly I didn't have time to recreate it and show you pictures of the makeup but nonetheless I will still talk you through what I used.
So all the Makeup in this top picture I used and will list them all so you can find them yourselves if you want a sneaky peek at them!

Palette - Naked Smoky Palette By Urban Decay
Blush - Max Factor Creme Puff Blush in Seductive Pink
Bronzer and Highlighter - Seventeen Define and Conquer Contour Kit in Medium
Foundation - Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum in Shade 52
Mascara - Maybelline Lash Sensational in Black
Highlighting Concealer - YSL Touche Eclat concealer

I first used the Bourjois Foundation, usually I use a primer but I used a moisturiser beforehand which helped the makeup to stay on well anyway, so that wasn't a necessary step for me but feel free to use one if recreating this makeup!
So I just used a pump and a half and dotted it around my face and then blended until it looked seamless and the were no streaks! I then added the highlighting concealer from YSL, which is such a beautiful product and I then put a triangle shape around the bottom of my eyes and then blended in with a buffing brush but more patting it in to help cover dark circles I had that day!

Now when I did this I was using glittery eye shadows from the palette so I should have really left the concealer until after unless there was too much fallout from the smoky shadows I used. But it worked out fine as I used a damp eye brush to apply the glitter meaning there was hardly any fallout, Bonus! But if you don't have a setting spray to wet your brush, I would leave the concealing step until eye makeup is applied!
I then started with the pink eye shadow second from the right side which is called 'Combust' I just patted this onto the lid making sure I didn't go up past the crease. I then used the shade 'Whiskey' Which is the brown shade right next to the pink I just used, and I just put this in my crease but tried to keep a crisp line in line with the end of my eyebrow and the corner of my eye so I looked a bit winged out so I did this on the outer v too, and this created a lovely dramatic brown eye, I then added the champagne-y pink colour in 'High' onto my lid right on top of where I had placed the 'Combust' shade. So then the look was completed apart from inner corner highlight which I then added using the colour 'Thirteen' which is the last shade to right in the palette. As the Eye Look was quite dramatic I wanted my brows to look a bit fuller and bigger so I have quite dark blonde brows but I took the brown colour and put the tiniest amount through my brows to keep them natural and just give them a bit more colour.

I then added the Contour to my cheeks using the Seventeen Contour Kit I used the bronzing shade to contour, and then I went to use the Max Factor Blush just above my cheek bone level slightly and then I used the highlighter from the Seventeen Kit just above my bronzer and blush to give me that party glow!

I then added lots of coats of my favourite mascara which is the Maybelline Lash Sensational!

I then used this gorgeous lipstick from Topshop Called 'The Damned' It is a gorgeous berry purple colour on the lips but can be built up to look as dramatic in the Bullet!

So that was everything I used to create a glowing christmas party makeup look!

What's your christmas party Makeup Essentials?

Drugstore Haul & First Impressions - December

So If today you want to know what I'm haulin' from the beauty counters at boots this is it! I was super happy to get everything as these are all products I've heard so much about and I am rather happy now I have them all (not that I needed any more makeup) but it was necessary I wanted to try some new things out and it's especially even more justifiable as I repurchased a few items too!

So first I picked up my trusty Lash sensational as I just can't imagine life without it!  sad I know, but it's the real honest truth! it just adds so much length to my lashes and the length is definitely what I lack when it comes to my lashes, so this just adds life back into them and without it I feel like I have no lashes and with it, and well you get the jist it is amazing! and I don't think many mascara's will ever compare to this for me so sorry if you're sick of hearing about it but you'll know why if you've tried it!

The second thing is a beauty I must say, I am literally a highlighter addict at the moment I cannot stop highlighting my face it just gives me so much more life and I definitely love a glow along with my contour. It is a lovely stick form so is so easy to apply and blends so nicely, it's nice and buttery so the formula is easy to just apply and blend out with your fingers or a brush. I have been using it for a week or so now and love the way it looks and for extra glow I love setting it with a powder highlighter, I'm loving the sleek highlighter on top of this to create a gorgeous glow! (from the sleek contour kit)

I have wanted this little product for so so long and when Boots were advertising Nyx coming to Boots online I jumped at the chance as I was so excited to try a infamous matte lip cream from them. The colour of this one is 'Copenhagen' which is a lovely dark reddy purple, it is more purple than red but looks like a berry toned shade, which is perfect for the Christmass-y season! I have used it twice and it lasts so well but when I applied a lip balm before it stayed on without drying my lips too, so a beautiful lip product all in all!

So every girl needs a good coverage drugstore foundation right?! Well this one from Bourjois is definitely gonna be repurchased again and again! I had previously owned the serum version which was lovely but a friend told me to try this one if I wanted more coverage so that's just what I did. I was NOT disappointed I don't know how I managed without it! and have worn it every day since purchasing it so that says something. It lasts really well on my skin and doesn't cake up which most foundations do with me and I don't know how the finish just looks so flawless and natural without being too heavy too!

The next two are Soap and Glory makeup items and surprisingly I haven't tried any makeup from them before these. I purchased the Brow Archery in 'Love is Blonde' and I love the tint side of the pen it just looks perfect as sometimes I like a lovely natural brow nothing too heavy and I can use both sides, the tint and crayon end, and it'll still make them look super even! I'm so super impressed with it!

Lastly I needed a concealer and I wanted good coverage for some under eye bags as sleep is something I'm not getting much of lately and I wanted to reduce the appearance of bags and cover them, I wanted to try another Soap and Glory makeup product so that's why I chose the Kick Ass Concealer, it has a yellow toned concealer on one side and a more orange toned one on the other. They blend like a dream and I love having two different colours to correct my under eyes and it's handy to have two different shades!

Makeup Of The Day #3 - Drugstore Only

Today I'm sharing with you my makeup which I have been doing a lot lately, it's light and barely looks like I'm wearing any foundation or concealer which I love! It's perfect for those days when you're running errands and just want a little bit of makeup to make you feel good in yourself! I will link all products near the end of the post if you want to know shade names etc.

I am one of those people who doesn't have the best skin so whenever I go out I want to wear at least foundation or concealer, it'd be nice if I didn't have too all the time but I like covering up my blemishes as it makes me feel a lot more confident about myself, this is no way saying you should always go out with makeup though if someone wants or doesn't want to wear makeup they shouldn't have to it's completely down to personal preference!

For my base I decided on the Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum as it's a light coverage but does quite well in covering small blemishes and a bit of my redness. It is a lovely light but I would say can be built up a lot if that's what you desire in a foundation, although for more coverage the health mix foundation also by Bourjois is supposed to be very good too.

To cover any redness which is still visible I used the Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer, I usually use this under the eyes too, but rarely use it to cover blemishes as it makes them stand out more as the concealer has a brightening affect.

Then as blush I used The middle shade in my sleek blush palette in Sugar which is on the right, it's a really gorgeous shade for autumn and winter seasons so I have been using this palette a lot recently! The other shades are also gorgeous too!

I then used the makeup revolution palette on the right and just dusted the bronzer shade along where I would contour so just in the hollows of my cheeks and then blending out with a makeup brush. I then lightly dusted the highlighting shade in this palette just above where I put my bronzer.
I then applied lots of the Maybelline Great Lash Mascara which is super good for such a small price, it adds quite a lot of length which is what I definitely need and doesn't clump up my lashes! So I applied this until I was happy with the look of my lashes and then that was my Drugstore Makeup Of The Day done!

High End Products I Would Repurchase

So Today is a very exciting post for all you high end makeup lovers!
I will be showing you all the products I think are amazing which are that little more expensive and luxury than most drugstore products! But this post is actually not including lipsticks as I have done so many posts with lipsticks lately so hold on for that one which I will do soon!

So I will firstly talk about them in the order I would apply them so essentially it'll be like a full face but without mascara/powder etc.

So the lovely blue tube at the back is the PoreFessional By Benefit and it's one thing I don't think I could change in my makeup as I use it so much and nothing has replaced it so far. It just smooths my pores and makes them less visible and also is great on my nose which can get a little dry and makeup doesn't apply too well to it but this is my makeup Life Saver!

The next product is my favourite high end foundation I have ever tried! The Estee Lauder Double wear just makes my face look flawless, which I need sometimes with quite blemish prone skin! But I just find nothing will last as long when it's on my face it literally won't move unless I take it off with micellar water and a cotton pad so it's just amazing but for the price tag I'm glad it is!

Mac Pro long wear concealer used to be something I actually didn't like so much, but I think because of the smell of the Mac concealers and foundations I absoloutley hated! But under my eyes the concealer covers any dark circles and doesn't look cakey on me and I literally dreamed about finding a concealer that didn't go cakey for so long! So this is super good for under eyes and is just a lovely product to use.

Next we have two Benefit products, I have Hoola Bronzer and Rocketeur Blush and I adore them both but together they just create a match made in heaven!
Hoola is a gorgeous bronzer which isn't too orangey it's the perfect mix in between it being brown and orange and just looks so natural as it's matte and doesn't have shimmer in it and I find a matte bronzer is the best kind of bronzer for faking those cheekbones as it doesn't too too fake and blends easily into the skin.

Now Rockateur is one of my long term favourites as I had it in a miniature size a long with about six other blushes and the bronzer in a mini christmassy gift set from Benefit last year. Which I am so happy I got or I wouldn't have been able to try this product and I am now obsessed and if I want a nice glowy rose gold blush which isn't too dark or too light it blends so nicely with the hoola bronzer on my face and just creates the most lovely natural glowing bronze-y with a hint of blush look!

Here are the two Benefit products and what they look like: Rockateur blush on the left and Hoola Bronzer on the Right

Here are the Links to browse or buy the products mentioned if you're interested!

Best Of | Red Lipsticks

I am such a sucker for buying lipsticks, you name it I probably have most colours that lipsticks can come in! but aren't these red's just gorgeous?!
Well they are all reds to me, apart from the one closest to the right so I'm cheating a little, this Kate Moss lipstick from Rimmel is more of a wine-berry purple red shade, so it's still a red right?!? Well even if it's not I'm including it!

I thought now as we are coming into the Winter season an autumnal red lipstick post was well over due for me! So I'm gonna take you through my favourite Reds all in the picture above!

So I gave two more affordable drugstore reds and two a little bit more expensive high end ones!

The first one is the Mac lipstick in 'Russian Red' it's a lovely classic red, it's a bit darker than the others but is just gorgeous and is my perfect autumn red as I don't like too many bright reds on me personally I just feel the darker ones usually look better and go nicer with my complexion. It is a gorgeous one for any time of year but I love it so much in autumn/winter and have used it a lot in the past two months which you would know from my October favourites post! I just find it's the one I gravitate towards most out of all these four it's perfect!

The next shade is the Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick in 22. It is such a great drugstore dupe for many high end lip options and it is such a nice vibrant mid-to dark toned red lip. It looks gorgeous with so many different makeup looks and I love doing gold eye looks with this particular lipstick shade as they just seem to look stunning together and are both quite bold but aren't too harsh, they are a great pair if going to a party or event where you want to look done up but not too over the top as a dark makeup look would be.

The third shade in is actually a Ted Baker lipstick and I know I feature it in a lot of posts and it doesn't have a proper name so it's really hard to find online so sorry about that! If you're interested it was originally from a Boots Christmas set last year which came with another pink and a nude lipstick. Which are all so pretty I must say. It works well with so many looks but is a shade I usually wear most in summer or on holiday as with a tan it really pops and looks amazing with highlighted tan skin ah! But it is gonna be worn this Winter I've told myself go Bold or go home! So may whip this out for a christmas party if I'm brave enough!

The last is another Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick and I'm sorry this one is literally plastered over every autumn/winter makeup look/ get ready with me blog post and YouTube video but it is just a gorgeous dark red berry shade and that's why I wanted to include it as for a drugstore lip it is gorgeous and so long lasting!

Hope you enjoyed this little blog post!

What's your favourite Autumn/Winter drugstore or high end lip faves?!
