My ESSENTIALS for the Autumn/winter months

So today's post is my essentials for Autumn and Winter. So there's a mixture of things I'd use in both or in one or the other so let's get right into it and I will show you what my essentials are for the autumn and winter seasons we are in and will be going into soon! This post is also featuring some gorgeous Francesca Heels from Online Avenue which I was lucky enough to be sent so enjoy the blog post!

So Autumn is my favourite season because that's when my birthday is and who doesn't love the month their birthday is in (am I right?!) And in autumn I love having the appropriate nail and lip colours that I associate with autumn, so I have a mixture of nail polishes and lip products that I would use in both autumn and winter as I love them all and they are mostly berry/red shades which I find are perfect for both seasons! also I will tell you what all the nail polish/lip colour shades and brands are near the pictures below!
In both autumn and winter my face/body needs a good moisturiser, as well they make your body feel so much softer and the cold weather can really make your arms/legs/face in particular really really dry. Now I like to use the Garnier Moisture Match in Dry to Very Dry as I find this really helps to bring back moisture into my face, this moisturiser in particular is also only for the face. The second is the Vaseline Spray and Go moisturiser which is amazing to just spray on rub it in and you're done. It dries so quickly which is what I need when I'm moisturising in the morning or before going to bed as I want something that will be quick and then I can carry on with what I'm doing. These products are both amazing if your skin is dry they are a life saver for me! Although everything featured in this post is an Autumn/Winter essential for me!

So If I can be bothered in Autumn/Winter, usually only if I'm going out somewhere nice I will make an effort with my makeup and put on eye shadow, so the palette here is my Mac warm neutrals. It has a mixture of shades but has a lot of gold/copper shades which I absoloutley love in the Autumn weather as well as I also do in the Summer! So basically this is a lovely palette which is a great all rounder for any season really as I wear these sort of shades on my eyes all year round but I love how festive the shades feel in Autumn/Winter too! And it's also perfect for creating christmas party eye shadow looks, as I LOVE A bit  LOT of glitter!
You can find the palette here

So I also have a tangle teezer and this is the gold compact one, it is such a good hair brush and I feel it's so good for on the go as I hate bringing a huge hairbrush (well compared to this one) If I'm travelling and don't want to many bulky items in my bag! the tangle teezer barely takes up any space at all!
You can find the same here

So quickly I will take you through my autumn/winter appropriate/favourite lips and nail colours which are:

Nails: Nails Inc For glamour in Colville Mews, Avon Nailwear pro in Cherry Jubilee, both gorgeous colours I'm currently obsessed with!
Nails Inc Polish Here
Avon Nail Polish Here

Lip colours: Mac lipstick in Russian Red, Ted Baker Lipstick in Red (doesn't have a name) Rimmel Kate Moss in 22, Rimmel Kate Moss in 107 (matte lipstick) which are all my faves for this time of year!

So these are the gorgeous boots I was sent by www.onlineavenue.com, they are an amazing brand which I was chosen to feature on my blog from EtailPr I absolutely adore them and would love to feature them in a blog post soon so watch out for that too!

Online Avenue is an online shoe company with such great value shoes any type you would want they have it on there! They go from a UK women's size 3- size 8 which is great as most people I know are within these sizes! They have such good bargains so if you want some new shoes that won't cost the earth go and have a look!

The one's I have here are the Franchesca Block Heel Pointed Toe Boots and I am totally in love with them! They have a gold detailed trim which is on the front of the heel which was one reason I totally fell in love and knew these needed to be mine! They also have a pointed toe which I think looks so nice on heeled boots but at the same time it isn't uncomfortable and these are super easy for me to walk in so that's an added bonus. I think these boots are really unique and will be coming more into trend through the colder months we are fastly approaching!

I also think that the material used to make these beauties is great as it looks suede but isn't. It's a Lycra material and this also makes them really easy to take on and off as it has good stretch, they also don't have a zip which is also a bonus for me as all my favourite boots I've had in the past with zips seem to break so easily and I've just given up with them, and I'm so happy I won't have to worry about this with these. They are the perfect addition to my shoe wardrobe and I would love to style them in some wintery outfits soon.

So if you want to have a look at the amazing Online Avenue They have some of the loveliest shoes, heels, boots and even wellies! They have so much variety and for such amazing prices and I'm super impressed and I'm sure I would definitely want to buy some shoes from them in the future!

They are just an essential for me now in the Autumn/Winter months as Everybody needs some warm boots to keep them toasty throughout the colder seasons!

Product Spotlight: The Body Shop Lipsticks

I made a HUGE order from the body shop a few weeks ago... and ended up getting these gorgeous lipsticks from there makeup range for £1.20 each!! How amazing is that!? I could not have said no! So I got these two beauties for under £2.40!!

You can buy similar here at The Body Shop

So the first shade is a lovely peachy pink shade which I thought would be perfect for next spring and summer and I will probably end up wearing it this season too as I love the more subtle shades for autumn as well as a berry/red lipstick too. This one is in the shade '01' which is called 'Cheeky Coral' and I think it's the cutest and definitely a fitting name for this lovely colour. I want to wear it loads throughout this winter as I do love a nice understated lipstick and this one won't require too much effort too keep topping up the colour.

The beautiful second shade that I bought was just so pretty even though, I didn't think it looked like this online but it worked out for the best as I love it so so much! It's a perfect lip colour which can be more berry coloured and built up to be the colour that it is in the bullet. I'm sure it'll be a amazing colour for this autumn winter too. This one is called 'Rose Quartz' which is number '13' which I thought would be more pinky but is actually more of a light berry red shade, so I was surprised as I didn't think it would be a reddish colour and it is, definitely more red than pink! But hey, sometimes these things happen with online shopping but it's great because I do absoloutley adore it!

These lipsticks and so creamy and are definitely not drying at all, so I am loving the formula, they are easy to apply and the packaging is really nice and makes them look a lot more expensive than they are! I think the colours are both such pretty and unique shades which would suit so many people for £1.20 each I couldn't really say no and wish I'd have bought more at that price.

So these were both in the body shop's sale, which I also did a haul post on here, so if you're interested then give that a read and tell me what you think!

I am kinda sad as I can't find them online for you all to browse at too. But they must have all gone in the sale. So this is more of a spotlight blog post too tell you about the body shop's lipsticks and what I think of their makeup in general, and I am so pleased they are both amazing value for money and the colours are stunning!

Have you tried any of the body shop's makeup?!

Drugstore Makeup Haul

Let me start by saying... yes I am aware this is another haul post!
I have received so many lovely things for my birthday which have been as will be included in a few more hauls or 'products I'm trying' or somewhat like that blog posts in the near future!

So sorry if you don't enjoy hauls but it's all makeup and all stuff I'm super excited to use so as soon as I get it it *needs* to be photographed before I can use it definitely blogger problems! But I don't care I just can't wait to try all my new makeup products featured in this post so Enjoy!

So these are the three palettes I bought with birthday money, and I'm loving them all!
The first was the sleek blush by three palette which has three lovely shades, also the palette is called 'sugar' but online it is 'brown sugar' before I forget to mention that! the shades are called: Left - Demerara, Middle - Muscovado, Right - Turbinado. they are all super lovely shades and I was so drawn to this palette as I haven't tried any of the blush palettes and at this time sleek was on 2 for £10 so will mention the other product in a mo! but My favourite shade has to be the middle shade 'Muscovado' it is just such a beautiful colour and has tiny little shimmers but they don't make me look like a glitter ball! *yay haha* but then close second is the fist shade which is like a dark cranberry shade, it looks so scary but it is super pretty and I am gonna love using it this winter!

The Second product is the sleek palette on the right. It is a contour kit which has a contour powder(as you'd expect) and a beautiful shimmery highlighter. Now I already had this but in the more expensive one which included a blush, I never really used the blush - partly because I smashed it on a solid flood which smashed it to smithereens! And then this broke the packaging, now I won't be doing that with these! but I'm so clumsy haha so I won't be surprised if I do! Now this one (shade-light, btw) was in the sleek offer so both together came to £10 which I was so happy with as the last product retails for £9.99 on it's own, BARGAIN! The contour shade is perfect for my skin tone and I love the highlighter too so it's a perfect mini makeup compact! This one retails for £4.49!

The Last product is the Makeup revolution ultra sculpt and contour palette, which is £3.50 so for that price I wanted to give it a go! It has a contour shade, highlighter and pinky blush shade. I'm in the shade 'Ultra Fair' and It's lovely for the price I am amazed! The only downside is they are all very powdery so it gets everywhere haha! But I love it anyway for the price I am in love! All of them are wearable shades and look very pretty on the skin.

So I'm super pleased with all of these gorgeous drugstore palettes considering they all together came to £13.50 I'm very impressed with this little haul and my little bargains!

Have you every tried these products?! Or anything else from Sleek or Makeup Revolution?
I'd love to know your thoughts!

BornPrettyStore Haul

Today I'm bringing you all a little haul, which is a bit different from usual. It's a haul of little makeup related bits from BornPrettyStore and they are all little bits that I've been wanting to try out, so keep reading to see all about the things I got.

So the first thing I opened was the concealer/corrector palette which actually came with the makeup sponge and the smaller angled face brush, which are both great quality too, you can find it here along with the other two items. The palette itself isn't as great quality as my similar drugstore ones like a makeup revolution contour palette I purchased a few weeks ago (even through that is powder and this is a cream palette) i find they aren't as pigmented as I would have hoped but this is one of the only items from BornPrettyStore that I'm dissapointed with (not including other two items) I found the only shade I would be able to contour using is the darkest one right in the bottom right hand corner as the other shades just blend out into nothing on my skin tone!

On the other hand my other two items that came with this I am super impressed with the makeup sponge works just like my other beauty blender dupes from real techniques and on it's own this would probably be amazingly cheap so if that's what your looking for look on their website and have a browse!

The other product was the little face brush which is slightly angled this works really nicely with my powder highlighters I have found, and the brushes bristles are so soft too. I am very impressed with the sponge and this brush so the only downside is the palette you can see below.

The set of eyelashes I got to test out and also try on my mum as I thought it would be fun the learn and try them out as they were so cheap and looked good quality too. I have yet to use them so cannot really give my opinions but for the price I think I will be impressed as they work out to be under £2 for the whole pack! I just need to buy some eye lash glue which will hold them in place! You can find them here.
So this is an overview of the palette I assumed it would be pigmented and the colour payoff would be good but it isn't one I would recommend and I wish it was as it looked so good online, I'm sure there would be plenty of palette like this though that would do a better job of concealing/contouring.

So this is my last product to give you my opinions on which is the brush on the left. (the other was the one I previously talked about) So It is a flat face brush -looks like a paint brush, I know, but I thought it looked like the new real techniques brush which is like this but used for contouring. Now I LOVE a bit of bronzer and I definitely love to contour too so having this brush seemed like the perfect addition to my collection so I went for it and I love it! It gives a very precise line but then I use another brush to blend it is so it doesn't look harsh on the skin and I am so happy with this and this is probably the one I am most pleased with as it just works perfectly!

The Body Shop: Sale Haul

I thought today would be the perfect time to take a snap of my body shop sale haul on my new Canon eos 700D! So that's just what I did for you all, let me start off by saying I am officially broke as I have now invested in this camera which I have been saving months and months for so most of my blog posts for a while will be featuring a lot of new makeup products and body care bits I got for my birthday which was on October 24th! So quite a while ago now, haha!

Let me start by telling you all what my body shop haul actually came too: It came to the bargain price of £19.70! And this haul is not including two of the body shop's lipsticks that were included in that price and that I'm featuring in a new blog post later this month! So stay tuned for that!

So the Body shop had a sale on just before my birthday about a week before and I decided to order a few bits but that turned in to quite a few more than I originally thought I would, impulse buying at it's best, at least it was in the sale! I also had found a discount code on the website for 40% off so this was why I got such a big haul for the price of under £20 I was very impressed!

So I ended up buying two body butters in 50ml each, and one lip balm in the honey scent (the blueberry one was given to me for my birthday, so is the only thing not included in the price) a virgin mojito body scrub which smells absolutely delish!! which was on my want list for agesss so I was SO happy getting this for around £3-4 I think if I remember correctly! and then I also bought a honeymania shower gel which smells amaze-ing and I can't wait to smell like a honey bee! ironic as I hate bees.  Lastly I picked up this cute cherry blossom duo-which includes the little travel spray and a little body lotion miniature, after I bought this for a friend for her birthday I wanted it for myself... but were all guilty off this right?! So I saw it online and decided I needed it too, so now me and my friend are twinning! I will link all of the products I can find that are featured in this post below but some may not be online anymore as they were most probably sale items only.

So the only products I've tried are the blueberry lip balm my best friend got me along with lots of other lovely presents, and I love it so much it has the nicest blueberry scent and actually smells like blue berries and doesn't smell artificial at all and that's why I love the body shop products it also is lovely and moisturising.

The other product I have tried so far is the Smoky Poppy body butter and this is such a nice scent it smells nice and isn't too much but I really like the smell and I use it to moisturise my arms and legs and it seems to make the skin less flaky, which is something I suffer with in the colder months sadly, so it has been a lovely product to use and I can't wait to use the coconut scented one too.

My Favourite Nude Lipsticks

I know for this time of year nude lip colours aren't exactly what everyone's thinking of wearing, it's all about the reds and the berry coloured lip colours that are what most people love to wear in the colder months!

But I am definitely a girl who prefers a very neutral lip too, I love how any of these colours in this post in the picture above, go with any type of eye look, skin tone and just look amazing all year round! I have a red lipstick post coming up soon but I wanted to go through these five lipsticks that a love all the time not just in the autumn/winter months! I feel like these shades can make my dramatic eye looks and face makeup just a bit more toned down and natural and I feel they complement a lot of makeup looks!

So in this picture I have two Mac lipsticks, two drugstore lipsticks and an Avon lipstick so I've tried to keep everyone's budgets in mind with this post and I love them all so much but in different ways so I will take you through each one and tell you why I love them so much!

Left To right - Mac lipstick in Velvet Teddy, Avon Lipstick in Cappuccino, L'Oreal Lipstick in Eva's Nude, Maybelline lipstick in Tantalizing Taupe, Mac lipstick in Creme Cup.

Mac lipstick in Velvet Teddy - This is a gorgeous classy and sophisticated lipstick which I love for the colder months! It just looks lovely with every makeup look but is a darker but wearable nude colour. When I first tried this I was unsure about it not complementing my skin tone and looking too dark on my lips but I'm glad I took the plunge as I adore it so much!
£15.50

Avon lipstick in Cappuccino - I love how buttery this formula of lipstick is it glides on the lips so well but doesn't feel slippery or comes off too easily, as it's a light colour you don't have to worry about it looking too much, it barely looks like I have anything on my lips when i'm wearing it but it feels nice an moisturising and for this reason this would be a great one for the cold winter months ahead!
£7.50

L'Oreal Lipstick in Eva's Nude - This has got to be my all time favourite drugstore lipstick! The L'Oreal lipsticks in this collection have the nicest packaging, nicest scent and just are amazing quality for the price! I feel like I need to buy a few back ups of this as it's one shade I can always rely to put on my lips and it will look nice but not too over the top it has a nice peachy pink colour and I love the way it looks on my skin tone the colour is so so beautiful too!
£6.99

Maybelline lipstick in Tantalizing Taupe - This is a lovely lipstick a lot lighter than most of these, it sort of has a pearly finish and looks almost shimmery but it doesn't have shimmer in it. It looks super shiny and glossy but it is bordering on concealer-y lips so I wouldn't go for this if you don't want to be washed out but it's worth a shot as I love it and it is a lot different to any of the rest of the lipsticks featured in this post!
£6.99

Mac Lipstick in Creme Cup - This is the second and final lipstick from Mac in this post, and this is creme cup which is a very pink toned nude shade it isn't really a nude colour at all but looks very pink on me so it depends on my mood, I love this one from Spring and Summer especially but I use it every once and a while, I would say Velvet teddy is a lot more wearable for me particularly and it doesn't need to be reapplied as often as creme cup is a cremesheen finish which means it is quite glossy and moisturising, this was also my first Mac Lipstick which one of my best friends actually bought me and will always be one I adore!

My Lash Multiplying Trio

So if you're at all like me, you want longer and thicker lashes, and for them to appear much fuller. Now I without a doubt need mascara in my life! I have the shortest, little lashes and they naturally don't look full at all and I look like I barely have any!

These are the three products which make my eyes appear so much more awake and my lashes more full and thick! I love the affect that these three products have on my eye area and how much more my eyes stand out when using them.

So the first product I use is the 'Soft Ochre' paint pot from Mac, I use this just to prime for eye shadow- If I'm wearing any that day, but it just covers veins and anything else you want to cover on your eye lid and with my skin tone it looks super natural and doesn't look like I have a product on my eyelids. Now I also understand how this isn't going to affect my eye lashes much as it's priming and concealing my eye lids basically. But without it I can really tell a difference in my eyes and my lashes as they really seem to pop more, even though this is a natural shade it makes my eyes and eyelashes look so much better I can tell a difference if I don't use it.

I then use my Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara which is amazing and is by far the best mascara from the drugstore I've ever found I am so obsessed with it and am in need of buying a back up as I don't want to go a day without it, this is how much I love it! It adds so much length which I really need, having the shortest straight lashes it really lifts them too so it doesn't make much of a difference if I use eyelash curlers or not. So if you're wanting to know if it's worth the hype I so recommend you trying it I don't know how someone could have a bad word to say about it, as the difference in my eye lashes and how much longer they look is really something to hype a product up over!

I then use the Benefit They're Real Mascara, if I think I need it, this adds a lot more volume I find and can keep my eyelashes curled upwards all day, which most mascara's can't seem to hold a curl that well with my short, stubborn lashes. I love how this looks on it's own too, both of these mascara's I would wear on their own but they both have things I wish the other did more of too. But I can't complain as they are two of the best mascara's I have ever used! And there's an alternative for both high end and drugstore if you are wanting longer and thicker lashes or the appearance of more lashes, hence me calling this my 'lash multiplying trio' But I love them both and I know they are both hyped about a lot but they are two products I definitely agree with the hype over, they truly deserve to be hyped over!

Where to buy the Lash Sensational - Boots.com
Where to buy Mac Soft Ochre Paint Pot -Maccosmetics.co.uk
Where to buy Benefit's They're Real - Benefitcosmetics.co.uk

Have you tried any drugstore/high end mascara's that you think could top these?!
Let me know and if you have any other comments I would love to hear from you too!

The Body Shop Camomile Cleansers

So Today I thought would be a great time to share these amazing body shop makeup cleansers, which remove all makeup on my face so easily and leave my skin feeling silky smooth and moisturised!

They are both amazing for all skin types I find, as they leave a nice smooth residue after cleansing but that is not going to aggravate any skin types, they just seem to melt away and vanish makeup and I have really been loving alternating between them as it's getting colder and they leave my skin feeling moisturised but not sticky or oily.

The one I have used the longest is the camomille cleansing butter which is just super lovely for removing all of my face makeup, but I wanted to try the oil as I thought it would be better for really cleansing my eyes and removing the traces of eye makeup which I usually find are left behind when I don't use something tough on waterproof mascara like an oil or makeup remover with oils in it, as they tend to melt away all kinds of eye makeup a lot better than other cleansers which mainly remove the makeup from around your face.

I have been using this cleansing butter much longer than the oil which I obviously cannot comment on much yet, but the cleansing butter a little definitely goes a long way I use the tiniest bit to rub around my face and then I use a flannel or muslin cloth and my makeup is all melted away just like that! The amount in the tin is very generous too considering there are a lot of products similar for a LOT more money than this!

I love how convenient it is too, it takes maybe ten seconds to rub it all into my face and then rinse with a cloth and the whole process takes literally 30 seconds! Which I really love as sometimes I literally can't be bothered to cleanse and remove my makeup but it's something a girls gotta do! At least in my case as I would break out like anything if I slept in my makeup! I don't dream of doing that now as it's so simple to use!

You can buy it from The Body Shop: here

Then we move onto the cleansing oil, this one is also from the camomille range and is £2 cheaper so if you want a cheaper option this one would be better, this one I would say if you want just one product to do the job of removing face makeup and eye makeup this is your one! As I think it removes eye makeup a lot better than the cleansing butter version, as this is an oil it lifts eye makeup off so easily but works just as well on your face makeup to leave it cleansed and fresh with not a single trace of makeup left on your face!

The only thing I would say is if your skin is super oily the cleansing butter would probably be better as this one is an oil and may make your skin produce more oils because of it going into your pores and removing the makeup on your face. But if you only have slightly oily skin like me only in specific parts of your face I would say give it a bash as now I can't live without them both! I would say though you only need one of them though as they are pretty much the same, so whichever one you think sounds better for you I would really recommend them both and they last for ages too! The one that is most likely more for your money and more uses would probably be the oil though so bear that in mind!

You can buy it from The Body Shop: here

And I just lastly wanted to let you know, I don't like these, I love them and they are such an amazing addition to my makeup removing routine and I will be sure to a makeup removing routine as a blog post soon as I love seeing what other beauty bloggers use to remove the tougher more hard to get off makeup, e.g. mascara!

Have you tried any makeup removers from The Body Shop?
